Hello guys,

I hope you are well today.

Today my dad ( i left his phone as contact info) who is in Mexico received a called from the embassy asking for me but since I was not there they didn't want to leave a message or anything,my dad then gave my cell phone in Canada but they didn't call.

I reviewed my email and have nothing. Does any of you knows what this call means? Are they going to notify I have my visa or maybe request an interview??

I so strange I don't have an E-mail neither my husband.

Please advice. Thank you
Maguie

Hello everyone!

Hope you can help me, like everyone else in here im going crazy, this is a no end process!!

Ok so I got AOR2 from Mexico on July 30th. It said they will send papers with further instructions but nothing happened until today. I received the same email with 2 extra documents.
One is a letter in Spanish saying to a delegado that embassy needs my constancia de antecedentes penales.
The second document says In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following:
- Original Police Certificate for Mexico
and a link to follow instructions if you are inside Mexico and outside.
Also says - Original Police Certificates for Australia

Now im currently in Canada. When i applied for permanent residency, i read this posts and a lot of people suggested to send the requirements for the police certificate before hand..so i did, i send them after i got SA, meaning that the papers with my fingerprints, photographs, etc arrived to Mexico on May, seems before even my full file arrived to Mexico since AOR2 was send on july.

So now im very confused...
- Is anyone else outside of Mexico trying to get police certificate? Did they send the papers with finger prints, etc? I keep reading about this paperwork changing for people outside of Mexico so im wondering what i have to do. Do they send the letter in spanish to everyone? or is there anyway to get the certificate with this letter being outside of canada.

- Is there anyway to find out if my first paperwork with fingerprints and photographs is good for the certificate? Can anyone give me any suggestions? Is it outdated? How can i know if they can use it? do you think i should just send everything again?? Please any advice would be appreciated.

- Finally they are asking for australian police certiicate, i studied there for 6 months but theres no certificate, i access the link they gave me and it says i have to add certain things that i never got, i was only there for 6 months.
How do i explain this? Do i have to send a letter? Please help.

Any advice would be appreciated!
Canzanillo you are doing an amazing work with the spreadsheet, thank you so much. Since you know almost whats everyone situation do you know anyone else that needs criminal record and are outside of Mexico???
Please let me know what you would do, i would really appreciate your advice. Thanks again!!!

Hello partners of the wait!!! Today my ecas has been updated and the "third line" appears as follows:

+ We started processing XXXX XXXX's application on September 22, 2015.

I hope receive the AOR2 soon (a month or month and a half). We know that the process will take a while, but we're so happy for this update in our application ;D

Hi, I did my transaction in Mexico directly, and didn't request the the "Carta de Datos Registrales" from the PGR in Mexico until I received an email from CIC requesting it. Nonetheless, I know that the "Carta de Datos Registrales" is valid for 30 days only. Perhaps they received yours at CIC or VOMX, but is has expired and that is why they are asking for another one? You should contact the VOMX to find out what happened with your documents. I know that it is also possible to request the notes of your process to CIC but that takes a bit of time, and you will get faster answers contacting the Visa office directly. The "delegado" letter in Spanish from the embassy is required by the PGR to process the "Carta de Datos Registrales," but I though that if the Embassy is doing that transaction directly with PGR they would send them to PGR and not the applicant. I never received a phone call from CIC or the Embassy, all communications were either by email or mail.

Buena suerte!

I guess i have very bad luck! I got an e-mail and they requested me to go to an interview November 4th!

Awww :( dont be sad LovelyComplex, you're almost there! I know it is very anoying and stressful having to go to an interview. Did you send more proof of relationship as they requested? If I were you I would be booking a cheap flight, if any, from Toronto to Mexico. I've read people saying that it is a good idea to request the GP something notes (don't remember the name) so you can see there why exatly they requested an interview. And of course bring with you as many pictures, proof etc you have and have acumulated this year. I've also read that it is fast from the moment the interview takes place, you could check the spreadsheet to have an idea. Best of luck and pacience! you still might be able to get PPR before January.

thank you luna :( i have been reading ending threaths on here that if you are asked for an interview is likeable that you will denied i really hope i won't :(

i'm also ordering the GSM notes today so i can get to know the reasons for the interview.

i know i haven't had my interview yet but i have a couple questions...

do you guys know that if they give all your documents back to you the day of the interview but they don't keep your passport it means it has been denied??

and

if they aprove my interview the very same day can they keep my passport?

thanks :)

Yiiippiii!!!! We got our AOR2 this morning!!!! No requests yet for any further documentation!! I am now hopeful we will be spending Christmas together ;D
We did send in our medical after the main application, so I had emailed the receipts from the medical to the Visa Office in Mexico (per their direction). They have acknowledged that the medical report is received and attached to the file... so all that is left is the police certificate request I think... unless we are picked for an interview...

Speedy process everyone!

No results are given the day of the interview. You will be notified of the next step and if any documents (passport included) are needed in a future communication.

Jeez! I go away for 10 days and all hell breaks loose on here!!! :D ;D :o 8) :P

Congratulations to everyone who received AOR2 and Passport requests.

I'll try to answer some questions and make sure the spreadsheet is caught up (though it looks like everyone has done a great job entering their data) once I get my feet back on the ground here and lose this jet lag.

Hello CANzanillo,

I hope everything with your application is going well. So if the email that I got is my AOR2 I am really confused because they didn't ask me for my PGR background check or for anything extra, I am just wondering if I should send them an email and ask them if they need that document.

Does anybody has an idea about what should I do? Has anybody been in the same situation?

Anybody from Mexico that got AOR2 but with no request of PGR background check? I dont know if I should email them and ask them if I have to get this done or just wait for them to email me the letter that I need to get my PGR.

It is more normal that you would receive just the AOR2 than receive an AOR2 with a PGR request at the same time so as others have said, be patient and wait for the request. Nothing is wrong in my humble opinion. Congrats on your AOR2!!

Just a bit of an update on my situation...

Thanks to all who offered advise on information to send to prove intent to re-establish residence in Canada. We are still compiling documentation and hopefully it will be sufficient. I will likely post a general list of what we are sending to help others who get the same request.

My wife's PGR (Constancy de Antecedentes Registrales) has been obtained (took about 3 working days to receive) and is being translated as we speak (5 pages). We should have it back from the translator by Friday or Monday. $1150 pesos for translation plus $220 to courier certified translation documents to us.

We have until October 14th to submit all the info the VO requested which we should be able to accomplish, however, everything has gone longer than I would have liked. The AOR2 and document request came one day after I flew up to Canada, then off to Germany for 10 days with a friend, so I was scrambling to put together as much info as possible before the trip to Germany.

I'll be back in Mexico on the 6th of October so we will organize everything and courier it off on the 7th or 8th.

My wife's medicals expire on Dec 15th, so I hope the VO can get everything processed and we get approved with PPR in time to land before the expiry of the medicals. ??? :o Sweating it a bit here...
