Hola and welcome IdleRumour
I will try to answer some of your questions
In my case after the sponsorship was approved on July 30 it took 11 days for me (the principal applicant) to hear from Mexico´s Visa office, on August 10 I received and email from them and about a week later I got the same letter plus Federal police request letter into my mailing address. Does your hubby gave an email addres where he could also be reached at or only the mailing address? Now that the application is In Mexico visa office all mail and information will be sent to principal applicant (your husband).
When I received the email the letter mentioned this: The original of this letter containing file number labels is being sent to you by mail today. If after 60 days, you have not received it, please contact our office at mexico-imenquiry@international.gc.ca or by fax to number 5724 7983 in Mexico City. Please enter
your file number, your complete name, date of birth as well as your telephone or fax
number or your e-mail address. Our office will send you a copy. You might still not have the file number which starts with a Bxxxxxx, but you or your husband could try to contact them again this way.
About the interviews...seems like not everyone its call for an interview, I really hope not to be call either, i can get very very nervous even if there´s nothing I should be afraid of. I think interviews can be in spanish too but still the whole idea of being interviewed makes me nervous.
Another thing..your husband might have to go to Mexico city anyways for the Federal Police letter and fingerprints since this has to be done in person unless he lives abroad. I just went to get mine and eventhough its fast it is a pain to have to go there. Its 1 day to drop all documents and get fingerprints taken and then you need to wait at least 5 days to get the letter. I suggest him to have ready all the documents he will need to present to the PGR in Mexico.
All the best luck,
keep us posted!
