Miguel did they end up calling you for an interview???
Congratulations for you guys (again)!!

no, they actually called me twice and asked me if i could land by august 17th (because of my medicals) the second time they called me i said that i could definitely make it by the 17th. they were really nice and attentive, i read so many stories here complaining about their rudeness. so no, no interview.

all good news on our side ;D

Hola hoples,
how far are you on your application?? is your application already in VO Mexico??

Mine its still in Missisauga waiting for the sponsorship approval ::), we applied at the end of June.

Hello everyone!

I'm joining this thread since I'll be applying through Mexico city soon. :)
I'm wondering if any of you sent police certificates in their initial application? I'm living outside of Mexico and I would have to send a bunch of papers to the embassy so they can process my PGR cert? Should I just send those papers to them now (fingerprints etc.) or try to get the cert. through a relative in Mexico?

Thanks for your replies! :D

We made our application for an extension of my husband's visitor visa in mid-may and we received a one year extension this week.

Our sponsorship application has been "in process" in Buffalo since June 11.

Hi!

Did anyone who applied through Mexico City translate their letters of support/police certificates into english or french?
Just wondering if I should translate mine (they're in spanish).

Thanks for your answers!

Hi,
Yes I got traslated the police certificate and all official documents (marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc) It says on the Check list which documents should be translated by certified person (Perito traductor).

I have a question for everyone...Were you able to get the PGR or Federal police certificate already???
I only sent the one from my city not the federal one because for what I understood I could only request the Federal one with special form that the visa office will send to me if needed. Am I right???

Thanks!

Hi!
Thanks for your answer! Just a question, did you translate your support letters as well (if you submitted any)?
I believe that the federal PGR cert is available without any special form from the visa office. I'm outside of Mexico and these requirements applied to me (pretty easy to get!):
pgr.gob.mx/TransFoc/antecedentes%20registrales.asp
add http...www in front, I dont know if I can post any links.

Take care!

Hi bonbon9

I just realized that I didnt reply to your question before...SORRY!

I didnt send any support letters, I guess you mean the ones from relatives or friends supporting your relationship, I was told that only people who is applying as common law or conjugal need those...dont know if thats your case....Anyways I only sent a photocopy of a letter from my mother in law where she was welcoming me to the family once she knew we were engaged...it was already in english so I just add it to support out relationship and that his family knew about me.

I realized you are in August thread...I guess you applied already??...Mine was sent on June 30th and am still waiting to hear from Missisauga hopefully this week.

Keep in touch!!

Good luck!!!
