What does ARC stand for?

I'm also praying and crossing fingers and wishing on stars and kissing rabbits feet and whatever else that we will not have to have an interview. My husband does not do well under pressure.

ARC is an autorization to return to Canada becuse I lived there before so everyone who lived in Canada need an ARC :) actually my interview wasn't so bad lol I was all freaked out but it turn out great !

It all depends on how complicated the case is. In my experience it took 3 months after it arrive to Mexico.

Hey everyone! Tis good to see a lot of positive results on the forum recently!

We are currently waiting to get my wife´s passport back. Nothing on the DHL tracking number yet...

Question: is there a minimum length of time they give for the visa? I have seen some getting like 3-4 months. But also I believe a forum member (Tna) was given until next year? Do they ever give less time then like 3 months to enter Canada?

Sadly we are not financially able to leave Mexico at the moment and won´t be until like June (flight, fee for me being here for so long etc..).

Thanks for any info! Hugs for those who need it!

I think they normally give a minimum of 3 months, but it can be longer. I know that the medical exam has to be valid at the time that you land so I'm assuming that sometimes how much time until the medical expires would affect the length of time of the landing Visa.

I'm not 100% on this, it's just what I've noticed from seeing different peoples posts.

If you can travel in June you should be ok, that's only 2 months away.

Thanks for your reply! A minimum of 3 months would be nice. My wife just did the medical exams again so that´s not an issue. Her Mexican passport is good until November, so that is fine also. We just hope to go back to Canada around the end of August.. that would be ideal in regards to finances. Only in that regard mind you lol. Well hopefully the agent dealing with our case is in a good mood the day it is decided... :S

Got my passport back today FINALLY !!! it took 2 weeks and 3 days for them to send it back :) good luck to everyone !

Hey everyone, we sent in the ARC and they also asked us for a prepaid waybill with the ARC letter + Fee. Is this common? Why would they want a prepaid waybill at this point? Do they send the decision by physical mail? Did anyone get their Decision or PPR by physical mail or mostly email? Thanks!

Today I'm flying to Canada :D

PASSPORT REQUEST!!!!!!! SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW ;D ;D ;D!!!! It took 14 months but it finally happened. Just wondering, they ask for confirmation of current mailing address, are they asking for proof or just verbal confirmation?
