Congratulations! You must be so relieved!! I´m guessing they still havent responded to your case specific enquiry right? Has anyone else here sent an enquiry within the last while? How long did it take for them to respond? (if they even did respond)....

I would wait till after the 3 months

than if you decide to send an email

say something like

Hi, It has been 3 months since our application was transferred to mexico city and we have not heard anything. I was just wondering if you could confirm the application has been received as we are getting a bit worried.
Your reply would be much appreciated
Thanks for your time

Be super polite in the email. lol. that seems to go better.

Frida we're in the same boat as you. Just crossed the three-month mark since our application was sent to the embassy. I'm told 3-4 months is pretty normal... so exciting!!! We're in the same "generation".

Hi Frida and everyone else,

I'm a February applicant and received SA on March 15th. My file was then transferred to Mexico. With the "apparent" strike happening I called my local MP here in Ontario to see what was going on and the lady said it's business as usual. She then wanted to check and see if they received my package from CIC so she asked for my UCI number and did an enquiry. I heard back the next day that my package was received on May 3 :) With with that being said, I guess it's just a matter of time until we get second stage AOR fr om the VO or not.

Good luck to everyone!

PS.. LeisaP you have been very imformative to not only this thread, but to others. Thank you!

Hi there, yesterday my husband received an email from Mexico VO stating that they are about to finalize his application but can´t decide whether he meets sthe requirements or not until he sends in a letter stating my (the sponsor) current activities and establishment in Canada since February 2012. Do you think this means that they have already completed the other parts of the application such as criminal check, medical exam review, etc...and that this is it? Do you think it´s a good thing or a bad thing that they are asking for my current activities in Canada? What worries me is that they only give him 30 days to send this in since supposedly on December 20, 2012 they asked him to send this in, but we NEVER received anything. Had we received this email back then we would have sent this A LONG time ago!! Has this happened to anyone else and would you take this as a positive step toward finalizing the application?? Your comments are much appreciated...
