Hey OCanadiana or bttmntl (or anyone!)

I just re-read your previous conversation about ordering a waybill online with FedEx because I am running into the same problem with needing to put a shipment date and weight etc. I called FedEx right now and they said prepaid waybills can't be done online unless the documents are going in or out of Canada. They also said FedEx in Nicaragua is actually a different company and I would have to call them directly to get any information.

Also, my husband went to DHL today and they can't do prepaid way bills either. Any ideas?

I finally log in ! and it says application for permanent residence received on March 4, 2013. so I guess I still have to wait right or what is the next step ???

Help please !

Neither DHL or FedEx offer prepaid waybills in El Salvador, the only thing close is the DHL branch at the Visa Application Centre, but they only serve Guatemala, not Mexico. UPS does offer prepaid returns and that's where we were. Our package was sent Monday and it arrived at Mexico Tuesday afternoon. Still waiting for the passport to be stamped and returned to us, the return waybill was enclosed for the VO to return the passport.

Good evening everyone,

Quick question: Do you guys know if changing your address has a big impact on the processing time of the application? And since we are still waiting on our AOR, should we wait until we get it before sending any case specific enquiry or it doesn't matter? Thanks for the help!

Hello guys ,

My application was already send to the Mexican embassy , I went online and it said this :

Application for permanent residence was received on march 4th 2013!

What will be the next step ? Does anyone has an idea of how long it will take for them to contact me again asking for my non criminal record ?!

Help please ! ???

Congrats on completing step 1! The next step is the acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) which they will send to you eventually. Mine came after 3 months of the file being in Mexico.

the AOR will tell you they have your file and also ask u for anything they might need at the time, such as the police certificates or more evidence or interview w.e it may be.

After 5 months of waiting i emailed them asking if they had our file.
And they emailed back asking for a redo medical and our police certificates.
They never asked us for an interview or extra evidence :)

well the first time we sent an email, we sent it through our gmail instead of the link on the website so they didn't answer.
second time I put in my info instead of my husbands (he is the applicant) so they wouldn't release any info.
so finally the third time I emailed them with his info and they wrote back about 3 weeks later.

sometimes they write back fast within a couple days and other times it could be a couple weeks

we sent a few more emails throughout the process and it was about 8-14 days average to hear something back.

Yeah it would be nice not to get an interview, but the mexico city interviews don't seem to be too bad anyways most people that got them got approved the same day! so it seemed like it sped up the process for them!
:P

My boyfriend from mexico is applying for a TRV to come and visit me for 3 weeks For the past year I have been going down because application for the canadian visitors visa is hard to get. He has the money now, a letter from his job stating he has a contract and has 3 weeks of vacation time, and a return flight and I was going to write an invitation letter but I'm worried that if I do he will get denied. What are other peoples experiences or thoughts. We are not married yet. I can also get my male cousin to submit the invite letter as his friend instead he was just in Mexico last month on vacation.
