Hey guys!! I just wanna share my experience of today!, guess what!?, I got my visa on my passport (saying immigrant) and my Confirmation of P.R. I thank God for everything...and you guys for every word said!. I went before 10:30am to drop my passport ( as per they request) and pick it up (with more docs at 3:00pm) I was SoO excited, I almost cry in front of the guy(was Mexican)... and btw before me was a couple picking up their PR as well, they were hugging each other lol. I might have seen like 3 couples brown and white hahah... that was cool... Good Luck to everybody, just be patient and of course think positive!! #LifeIsGood!

How neat!! Congrats!!

(Brown and white couples are my fave ;)

So, my boyfriend emailed the embassy last week to make sure they have everything, police certificates, medical and additional proof of commonlaw. Yesterday we received a confusing reply saying that they have no record of our request for the SSP. Obviously, they wouldnt have that because we didnt send one nor did we ask about one. So now im super stressed and confused, thinking maybe they didnt receive our package! And now we just have to wait for them to reply again! Ahh so stressed!!!!
Any advice???

Well you can't send it in until they ask you for it but you can certainly start preparing for it.
You will need copies of the refugee decision and reasons because they ask you to send that – If you don't have the documents you can request copies from the refugee office where the refugee claim was filed.

You also have to write a letter and pay a $400 fee at the bank (which you will do when they ask you for it). They ask for “A letter explaining why there are special considerations which would justify your return to Canada and explaining why you did not leave Canada when you were ordered to do so” - they ask the same questions even when you did leave when you were supposed to.

That is horrible! =( ! I really hope they don't need it.

We are married. They are asking for proof of communication and visits after the wedding

Oh, interesting. How long ago did you get married? Or do you think it is because of the delays with your file that they would request that?

I'm sorry you have to go through the task of gathering proofs, etc again. It is a lot of work!

we got married a year and a half ago, but He´s in Canada and I´m in Mexico. My guess is they just want proof that we are still in a relationship and communicating after the wedding.

Sounds not so bad! You will do great! And hey, the end is in sight for you guys, which is amazing. Best of luck!

We're all cheering for you, Eddie!
