We sent it last week, but because it was a holiday weekend they got it on Monday

there was a few of us on here that sent prepaid waybills for the pgr. and all of us got the pgr letter sent exactly 10 days after they received the waybill.
So im thinking if things are the same. you should get the PGR next week for sure.
are u watching your waybill tracking number online to check for movement. lol
when we sent ours i was checking everyday to see when they sent it back.

Yah ive been checking it every day. I sent it by Pegaso, and nothing shows up until its on the way back so nothing yet. But I guess Ill give it till next wednesday! Im glad that I didnt wait the 30 days like it said in the letter!

Its sent by Email :)

Thanks for the reply! :) Our file got transferred on Oct 29, so it's still very early to expect an AOR, just wanted to be sure how we would get it. I see you're towards the end of your process, hope it's a speedy and successful one :)

So just to make sure, now that we know that the file is in Mexico City I have told my fiance to send the pre-paid waybill, this is ok right ? to do it before we receive the AOR ?

I dont see how it would be a problem.
When they open your file, they will have a waybill already so they can send out the PGR faster.
It shouldnt cause any problems

Perfect ! He is doing it today so just wanted to make sure :) Anything we can do to make things faster !

One more question, ok maybe two !

So I am about to let our lawyer go, does anyone know how to report this properly to CIC so that they start communicating with us directly ? Just want to make sure we dont muck things up. I am thinking maybe its best to do this after we receive the AOR ? What do you guys think ?

Also, I was reading through some stuff about common law. As you all know I am going through a divorce. I noticed that it said that I should provide something to prove my seperation. We never sent anything with the application but do you think it would be wise to send the court order for divorce ? Also I will be divorced as of November 30th ( 4.5 years of fighting !!! that wait was way worse than immigration !). So my question is should I send the order now or just wait to receive the divorce certificate, I will receive it one month after we complete our trial.

Umm im not sure about the lawyer thing.. maybe someoen else has the answer. but either way i would wait untill after the AOR if possible.

And i think you should send the court order with a note attatched saying the divorce certificate will be ready on this day, so we can send it than if you wish. or w.e just so they know u do have proof of seperation. Its best to send it as soon as u can. might cause less delays later on.

Hi mmm! There's a form you can fill out that changes the representative, you fill that out and send it to CIC, my friend told me that she emailed hers, she also mentioned that she was emailing the embassy with additional proof etc which I never thought to do, so maybe you could do that with the divorce stuff.

Hi :)

1. Complete and submit the Use of Representative Form (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5476E.PDF). At the top, select the option to cancel the appointment and complete the sections indicated. You can send a scanned copy to the VO as an e-mail or case specific enquiry attachment. Include the applicants name, UCI (if you have it), application number, DOB, and address.

2. You can send the court order also as an attachment to the case specific enquiry or e-mail. That way they have proof upfront when they look at the file and can ask for the certificate if they want it at a later date.

If they get it before the VO takes a look at your file for the first time you'll avoid delays and get any communication directly so I don't see any reason to wait.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, I will keep you all posted!

congrats, mc1234, that puts you in the six month mark after applying and three-month mark after file transfer to VO! I think that's good timing.

here hoping that we all benefit from similar VO efficiency!!

Good luck to all.

Farfelu, any news yet for you guys?
