Jeduardo i've been told that in order to apply for a visa you need an anchor to your country
something that proves that you're going to come back, that's the reason why i haven't apply for a visa
because i dont have nothing that attached me to my country, i live by myself here all my family is in US
and the others in canada, i would like to apply for a visa because it would be very frustrating for me to spend christmas
here alone, but in the other hand im afraid to get my visa denied and affect my process for that :(
Any suggestion guys?

Hi WantToBeInCanada, do you have visa or permit to reside in the US? if so, what type?

PPR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

congrats, mc1234, that puts you in the six month mark after applying and three-month mark after file transfer to VO! I think that's good timing.

here hoping that we all benefit from similar VO efficiency!!

Good luck to all.

mc1234, i must have missed it, sorry if you've been asked this before, but were you asked to submit any additional documents by the VO after your file was transferred? or was it a smooth run from there to the finish line at PPR?

I wish you that the remainder of the process is a speedy one!

No extra documents/ no interview... they had some trouble locating our medical and that took about 3-4 weeks to resolve! Other then that it was pretty smooth. AOR after 3.5 weeks.

A quick question guys.
Once the VO have received the medical result how long does it usually take for the process to reach its end?

Do you mind sending me a list too :) It will help give me some ideas maybe!

Initially when they requested the info I told MC1234 that there was absolutely nothing else I could provide. I managed to photocopy 123 pages the other day at office max, pretty good! LOL. I'm grasping for absolutely anything I can find that might help them. I also photocopied a few other papers that i originally sent though and am organizing it all into months.

I sent out a PM with my list :)
