So they dont necessarily wait for the PGR to arrive before the open your file?

Based on how some people get asked for extra proof/interview along with AOR I think at Mexico City they already made a decision about your case before they send you AOR

What do you mean?
We got asked for more proof of common-law relationship and the PGR in the same letter.

Well in order for them to know they need more proof they must have already looked through the case.. After PGR and SSP are recieved, usually PPR comes quick, unless something happens like a medical lost, or ARC is needed, etc.

No they dont.
our file was in mexico city 5 months, beofre they asked for anything. and the first thing was redo medical. than I actually emailed them and asked them for the pgr letter, because they hadnt sent us one yet lol.
than pgr. and now were doing the arc, and once its done our file will be finished.

they open your file withing a week or so of getting it. than usually they check evidence, police and medicals. than finalize.

because if you need an interview, its usually but not always, requested with the AOR :)

Since they asked you for more proof they are giving you another opportunity to prove you two are common-law, if you cant I would imagine then they would ask for an interview.. Well, from what i've seen.

OK, so in our case they are just waiting for the PGR and more proof of common-law and everything should be done quickly after that? I guess depending on the proof we send they will decide if we need an interview or not.

Honestly I was surprised they asked for more proof, we sent in so much initially.
Rental Agreements,
Bank statements with the same address
Joint Bank account detail
Affidavits from Family members
Insurance policy with my partner as a beneficiary
Photos
facebook/skype chat records
travel itineraries
Copy of all my passport pages to show when i entered Cancun

Thankfully we have a couple more things we can send,
more photos (with our new puppy)
Health insurance policy with both of our names
a letter from my first job here in Cancun proving I was living here.
And the invoice for my flight to cancun when I moved here

Do you think this is enough, what else can i do?

I think thats great!,
and yes, after they get ur more proof and pgr, either they will decide thats good enough and finalize, or ask for an interview.
if you want I can send you a copy of what we sent in with our app, we are common-law too and we werent asked for more proof or an interview.
but i will send it in a private message :)

Hi everyone,

One question. My date to deliver my SSP letter passed few weeks ago because I have troubles to get it. Today finally one friend got it but she can only go next week. I' have an email from the embassy where confirmed they only received the PGR letter and need the SSP letter, if I have a PDF with the SSP should I forward to them and explain that the original will be there next Tuesday?

Hey Meeshy, we were requested for more information as well and had all the same things you included, plus more! (except we didn't include an affidavit) we had letters from about 5 different people, but none were stat declarations.

Maybe this is a new thing and they are being more strict with common law applications because I was quite shocked as well. I thought they didn't receive the package I initially sent.

My CL partner has since been asked to attend an interview in November. i'll keep you posted on how that goes.

Do you mind sending me a list too :) It will help give me some ideas maybe!

Initially when they requested the info I told MC1234 that there was absolutely nothing else I could provide. I managed to photocopy 123 pages the other day at office max, pretty good! LOL. I'm grasping for absolutely anything I can find that might help them. I also photocopied a few other papers that i originally sent though and am organizing it all into months.

Only your partner was called for the interview? I thought the interview was for both the sponsor and the applicant?
