mrsromero, edgar, you two are in my thoughts this week, I am really hoping you hear some news.

Lets hope this is a good week for Mexico.

hi everybody,

to those who got ssp police certificate lately...
can they confirm the correct direccion where it can be done ?

ssp website:
SSP at Xola 324, Colonia Del Valle, Del. Benito
Juárez, México D.F

vs

cic.gc.ca updated page:
Office of the SPP located at Calzada de Tlalpan No. 2962, Colonia Espartaco, Delegación Coyoacán; Mexico City

& is the info on the internet correct:

i mean: it can be done using:
"Los documentos que deberá presentar son: copia de su acta de nacimiento, comprobante de domicilio vigente
y credencial de elector. El trámite es gratuito"..."y se entregara el mismo dia"

tks so much !!!!

The correct address is the one in Calzada de Tlalpan. As a reference it is next door to Televisa Radio, and the documents are correct.

It should be delivered next day but I was asked to go back in 10 days. If you´re not from Mexico City you can ask a family member to get it for you with a Carta Poder, some people here has said it should be a direct relative, such as brothers or parents but I had no problem with a friend picking it up (they did asked for money for "los chescos") so be aware that this might happen.

hi taschj like Eduram said that is the correct address. When my wife went it took less than an hour to go in and get the certificate, she went early in the morning.

Good luck!

excellent thank's a lot !!! ;)

Well, we were advised by our immigration lawyer to contact our local MP to make an inquiry to the embassy. We have sent them an email now, and will see if they can find out why the delay....I will keep you posted on here if we get any response!

Thanks Canadiangirl78.

Can you think of any other way that would allow me to move to Mexico sooner? (reasons as outlined above)

Or is waiting until I am approved to sponsor really our best option?

I dont know if you got an answer yet. i havent been around for a few weeks.
but I did the same thing
im a canadian citizen by birth and lived in canada my whole life.
We sent our application in january 18, 2012. and my husband was deported march 31, 2012 back to mexico. I went with him the same day to mexico and stayed here for 6 months. we ended up getting the sponorship approval after we were in mexico.

But ive been here 6 months, than went back to canada for 3 weeks and recently came back again.
its fine to leave before you get sponsorship approval, it didnt mess anything up for us.

and as for letting them know. I didnt tell canada I had moved to mexico, because i didnt move here. im just here as a tourist, so its not necessary to let them know you are visiting in mexico, unless you want to.

hOPE THat helps :)

Thanks so much for the information leisa. Also thanks to everyone who commented I appreciate it so much. This process is so stressful and My husband and I have only just begun.

Husband application will also be shipped to mexico. Muchacha is your husband from Nicaragua? Because it happened the same to us with dr diaz and i didn't really know what to think about this....

Yes my husband is Nicaraguan. Not sure who the doctor was because I was in Canada at the time, but I'm pretty sure there is only 1 ;) Are you or your husband from Nicaragua!? Have you submitted your application yet?

Anyone else get any updates lately?
