jeez louise !!! Thats crazy !! it only took my fiance an hour too when he went in GDL ! Was most of it waiting time ? I would assume the waits are ridiculous now since its the only place besides border states to get them now. Man poor guy, that would make for a miserable day ! Well let me know when you get the price, no rush, let him relax when he gets home !!

I always type a letter with the following at the upper right hand corner:

Applicant: (Full name here)
UCI: ------
File number: --------

Then I type the following:

Dear Immigration officer:

I am attaching to this letter the following additional documents as requested:

(Description of document here like, PGR police check)

I appreciate your time and I look forward hear from you soon regarding the status of my application for permanent residence.

Sincerely,

(applicant's full name and signature)

It has worked pretty well so far :)

It's just my Canadian passive-aggressiveness at work. I guess you can call it my subtle way of telling them "Hurry the hell up and tell me what's next" :P

It seems like no PPR's recently.....still waiting here....About a month ago they requested the original birth certificate, when in the beginning we had to submit a translated one, rrrgghhh very frustrating. It seems that after every request they make, its a two month wait for news. Fingers crossed it is very very soon!!!

Two months sounds about right, but I'm not gonna wait that long. I'm sending them a case-specific enquiry on Monday after 4 weeks of waiting and not knowing what's going on :(

Hey guys! soo
the exam actually only took 3.5 hours!!
just i got the text message really late.

so it was 3.5 hours and it costs him 3060 pesos. thats including the shipping fees.
and the doctor was really nice and polite! :D

As of last Monday I'm officially in an immigration protest. I've decided not to shave my beard or mustache until I get my PPR. Hurry up CIC, you don't wanna see a short, buff angry Mexican with a killer beard. >:(

LOL! But I want to!

The next two weeks will have news I am sure! We will have a new wave soon.

I'm confident as well, but I'm still gonna send them a case-specific enquiry and I'm still growing my beard and mustache :P I've always wanted to walk around in Canada with a full beard in the middle of winter. I'm weird like that.

May you not get to choose your style ...

vs.

If my beard gets that long then we can all agree that CIC is delaying my application on purpose :P

LOL! Maybe some sense of humor in the case specific enquiry will motivate them to respond!

On another note - we went to Viva Burritos today and I was expecting something like Chipotle but it was very different but also TASTY! And a way better value than a gross 7 layer burrito which I cannot even believe costs $3.99 at Taco Bell here. Everyone in there spoke Spanish and the guy working was really nice and didn't charge us for a side of beans and rice for my toddler.

...after googling...I thought it was a chain but apparently there is only one and it is in Oshawa.
