Why are you medicals expired? Did you do them a long time before applying?

yeah!. we did them in march 2011

we were going to send in our application summer 2011 but realized we didnt feel our application was strong enough, mostly because we lived together but with friends previous to having our lease(so we didnt have any proof really.. except for letters but i didnt think it would be good enough), and our lease wouldnt show up as 1 year untill dec 2011., so we decided to wait a bit, meet with an immigration consultant. so we didnt end up filing till january!!!

and at that time because they sent the medical already, we couldnt do a new one. so we just have to wait now till they request a redo now.

Yeah, I was looking at the spreadsheet because I'm anxious to know how long Step 2 is taking now. Nessa was just under 5 months, which would be great. And I think yours in the next one to be processed that is somewhat straightfoward.

How long does everyone think Step 2 will take now?

Its hard to say we dont have a lot of people to base a timeline on, we are all in a bunch right now, will be interesting to see how it goes, i am hoping for 6 months :)

yeah theres only about 20 people on the timeline..
buttt at least its something. gives me a little hope haha!!
i think august is the next quarterly update for VO processing times.
it will be interesting to see if it changes.

also i wonder how many people are actually going through the mexico city VO. that arent on this forum. that would be interesting to know aswell.

The AOR from Mexico says the average is 6 months. The CIC website says 20% of cases in Mexico are done in 5 months. So I would go with 5 months if you don't have to deal with deportation, ARC, or something else that complicates things.

From what I remember, Mexico only processes 500 something spousal cases a year.

Yeah except they probably have less officers! 6 months isn't bad especially when step 1 is one month like it is supposed to be.

I hope they email you back just so you know your app is there!

yeah true!. that is probably why its still 13 months even though theres not that many applications.
yeah! we got lucky with step one. when we applied it was suppose to be 66 days and we got our answer in 55, so that was good.

yeah me too!!.
do you know if when they say they will reply in 20 days. is it business days or all days...

you can see the big drop in 2009. when the visa came in.

anyways its pretty good. most of the reasons they deny is criminalities, or health concerns. not all but most of them.

can i ask you where you got these statistics from?
