I was looking at our PPR email for something unrelated but I see a number that starts with B above my husband's name and address. I have no idea what it is. So many that is what she gave you, tbaxter. It has 9 digits after it while a file number has only 8.

She must have given me the wrong number, but she said it was the only other number she could think of, and didn't even know what I was referring to when asking for the app/file #!! It took me 3 days to get through!! Grr!

Thanks for the help!

It might be the file number and it just isn't accessible yet. How many digits after the letter? If it is 8 it is probably the file number. But anyway you can see ALL the info on the UCI. Medicals received etc. Just not the address of the PA.

It's B then 9 digits. Ok, so I can still track the status on the application with the client ID? I just can't change his address I guess. But like I said, I guess it's no big rush right now anyway. It's probably not even in Mexico yet.

Hmm now I am curious what these B-9 digit numbers are. I will try to use it wit ecas and if I am successful I will let you know.

Yes you can track the app with your UCI. But my greatest hints were in my husband's address and you can't see what is going on there with the UCI. But you can still see the same status.

I'd guess it would get to Mexico in a week or two. No more than 2.5 since that is when I got my AOR.

My mistake. The file number has 9 digits too.

Tbaxter, what does your B number end with? I am wondering if it is a code for Mexico City or something. It doesn't work for ecas with me n matter what. Mind ends with 311. I am so curious what this number is now.

Oh yeah I am sure that is your file number. Just keep trying ecas. Maybe there is an error that is stopping you from logging in or maybe it just isn't updated yet.

File numbers often start with a B ;) Don't worry. And, for the non-Canadian you can't change addresses online (you have to send the info as a case specific enquiry to the visa office for applications being processed outside Canada).

I tried to change my US address to my Canadian one on ecas but they didn't do it. Should I just leave it? I told Mexico in a case specific enquiry but they didn't change it either.

Either ignore it - they shouldn't try to reach you there after you move out - or send them a *very* direct, to the point, case specific enquiry forwarding the prior one. Depends how much you care since it can be a pain to get them to do it and reflect on e-case for some reason.

If it doesn't matter then I don't care. Just don't want them thinking I still live in California after my husband lands.
