OMG! Just got the golden email!!! Can't believe it just got the GCMS notes this morning and my lawyer just sent me the COPR email. I'm shaking. So overjoyed.

went according to what we had thought initially. Congrats.

Congrats Tanmex. We used fedex. We put a return envelope ( pre-paid with tracking ) , and slipped in the original one. You will have 2 tracking numbers with you - one for forwarding the docs, and one for receiving COPR.

remember when you said ordering notes sped up the processing of your application ? same happened to me , they made the decision one day after I requested the notes ,,if it was a coincidence got to be a very weird one .

If so, can you share what was the timeline from when application was transferred to the Mexico VO to request of PCC or Medicals?

Ordering GCMS notes sometimes pushes the officer to review it sooner.

Took us 11 calendar days total, including the transit time for sending and receiving document. We sent our package on Tuesday, and we received back on Friday, the following week. We used Fedex next day delivery option.

We sent it Yesterday, Embassy Received it Today . so hopefully we receive it by end of next week .

It's not 100% guaranteed that they will review your file sooner if you order GCMS notes . you have to order them few months after you receive AOR2 from Mexico VO.

it happened to me and to Nara , decision was made 1 day after we requested GCMS notes , at least after the last set of GCMS notes I ordered .

AOR2 is the letter of Acknowledgment of Receipt of your file from the embassy , it comes right after SA

Is this for all processes (PGP, Spousal, etc ?) or just spousal ?

Here is our timeline for embassy processing the PGR request (in case when when PA is outside of Mexico). All this is coming from GCMS:

We sent fingerprints and photos to Mexico and they were delivered to the embassy on Dec 11 2016.
On Dec 16 embassy forwarded the docs to PGR.
PGR issued the certificate on Dec 29.

On Jan 26 certificate was added to the file in GCMS, (I suppose after being verified/translated) and on Jan 31 VO lead officer confirmed all certs in order.
So overall about 50 days.


We also requested an official letter to take to PGR - this would probably be a slightly faster option through a carta de poder, but the official request letter took 2 weeks to receive from embassy, by that time we gave up waiting for it and just sent the fingerprints to the embassy instead.
