Hello I'm new in this process, I learning how to used this ;D, I've reading past posts and I've been learning a lot but right now I'm a little confused because I just summited my application on October 20, i got AOR1 on October 24 and since then I have not be able to link my application to my online account :-[ , today I got an email asking for police certificate, (I don't know if it is the same as PGR certificate), I don't know how good or bad it is, any thoughts??

Did you send your application to CPC Mississauga on Oct 20? Was it an Outland Application for spousal sponsorship? Did you get email from CPC Missisauga asking for police certificate? Did you submit one as part of original application process? Could you tell PA's country of citizenship and resident ?

I send my application to CPC Mississauga on Oct 20, I'm Mexican applying from outside Canada for spousal sponsorship, and I got an Email from CPC Missisauga today asking for the police certificate which I didn't summit with the application.

I didn't summit the police certificate from the beginning because I in the website CIC says I had to wait for a letter asking for it, by the way the letter I got is in English, does it need to be translated in Spanish? :

What police certificate is CIC asking for? Had PA resided in any other country, for more than 6 months, outside of Mexico? PGR ( Police Clearance Certificate from Mexico ) can be furnished only after CIC Mexico sends you a letter requesting it. The letter from CIC should mention clearly what police certificate they are asking for. Can you post your letter ( masking important details ) in this forum?

sample letter from embassy requesting PGR would look something like:

well, I send it and it takes 4 days to arrive, and to return about 3. I think I take 8 business days.... (BY Fedex...)

Well for sure I didn't get a letter like the one you posted, mine says:

Dear: XXXXX XXX (PA)
In order to continue processing your application, further information is required. You must complete and submit the following to this office within 30 days of the date of this letter:
-Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six
months or longer since the age of 18, please provide an original police clearance certificate. This must be received at this office by: 2016/12/15

It says to send it to Mississauga.


Im the PA, and I haven't reside in any other country besides Mexico.

Looks like there is confusion here. Are you sure, that you haven't mentioned staying in any other countries other than Mexico in Application forms? The letter you posted here says that you are missing police clearance certificate. If your version is correct, then the sponsor should email back CIC Mississauga asking for clarification, since you (PA ) haven't stayed outside Mexico after you turned 18 ( for 180 days in a calendar year ).

As you can see here, PCC from Mexico can be obtained only after embassy sends an email similar to the one i gave you.

As for application forms for latin american countries including Mexico..

"You must submit original police certificates of good conduct or clearances from each country in which you and each of your family members aged 18 years or over have resided six continuous months or more since reaching18 years of age. You must attach the original police certificate(s) to the application. If the original certificate is neither in English nor in French, submit both, the certificate and the original copy of a translation prepared by an accredited translator. However, if you have lived in Canada, at this time you are only required to indicate it on the Schedule 1 Background/Declaration Form (IMM 0008). You will be notified by the visa office dur-ing the processing of your application if you are required to submit a police certificate from Canada."

This is an unusual request for a Mexican applicant , you won't be able to Get a PGR with this letter .
you need to get in touch with CPC Mississauga and explain to them that you never resided in any country outside of Mexico and that PGR require a special letter from the embassy .

Yes!!!
He sent it on November 9, arrived to Mexico on Nov 11, but embassy was closed for the holiday,
Reopened Monday Nov 14... so he maybe get it this week

Guys I am a bit worried it has now been 14 weeks since we sent our police check and we still have not recieved Passport Request. What could possibly be the hold up? I have not revieced a request to re do medicals and they have already expired....I need some positive feedback! Feeling very frustrated and hopeless that we will be home for Christmas ... Also people who have applied months after our application or around the same time have already received their request and we have the most straight forward case possible.... just feeling very frustrated.
