We got AOR2 and SA on same days. Let's see what happens next.can you update the timeline on spreadsheet please.

In what circumstances they request updated schedule A?
Why some people got requested that while some didn't. Anyone can explain?
We submitted the application on December 8, 2015, and we received AOR2 on May 4, 2016. Nothing after that, completely nothing. It sounds stupid but I even thought they just lost our case. My husband is from Guatemala so we won't have PGR request. We have also paid the RPRF in the beginning. But people is getting document requests at least they know the applications are being processed.

OMG Same here! since May 4 nothing after that! but we request the GSCM notes, in a few days we gonna know what is happening with our application.
I understand you, its really hard, but im agree with nartcr, this probably will be our month ..
its curious, the May 2016 have today AOR2 ( waiting almost 4 months likes January/December team) so, I think we will have some good news soon.

Mexican kids to Visit Canada

We need some help.
I am Canadian, my husband is mexican but lives here with his Permanent Resident.

We applied for his two boys (who live in mexico city with their mother) to come to visit Canada for a couple months to meet our daughter (their half sister) and return back to Mexico.

Their mother is ok with them travelling to Canada and staying with us. They are 15 and 16 years of age.

Eventually will be applying for Permanent Residency but we first want to see if they want to live here, and if they like it here. If not they can choose to stay with their mother in mexico.

We were refused on these reasons:

-Travel History
-Your Family ties to Canada and/or country of residence
-Purpose of trip

We Sent letter of invitation, our letter of employments, everything we could think of.
We want to buy their plane ticket the moment they get approved. We dont' want to spend on tickets now and loose the money if they are refused again.
they have never travelled anywhere out of Mexico. ANY help on how we can prove these THREE reasons:

They have gone to private school, which my husband sends money monthly on support. Enrollement was for now, but we were hoping they would come here, so now they will be enrolled back in January.
ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about your troubles with the Visa .

I'm sorry to tell you it's very hard and next to impossible to get Visitor visas to your husband's sons .
as immigration explained to you , they have family ties in Canada and Immigration officer think the purpose of the trip is Immigration not just a visit .
Travel history : they never traveled before to any other country , which is another indication of immigration intent .

You can however wait until the Visa requirements is lifted from Mexico this coming December or enroll them in a school here in Canada and they can come on a Study Visa .

Just received AOR2. Letter dated Sept 1 2016.

Congratulations nartcr!! I should be getting mine soon... (I just emailed my Immigration consultant to check if she received my AOR2. Monday is Labor Day so I won't get an answer until Tuesday.

As per the no visa required come december, i read lots of info, and to apply for the ETa, seems like you still have to prove the same things as a visitor visa.

CIC updated ECAS today for me. It is interesting to note that I, sponsor, do not see new updates when i login with my UCI number and my details. However, when i login with PA UCI number or PA file number, and input her details, i can see new line added.

"We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on September 1, 2016.".

We have to submit photographs, national identity document and address proof as well.
b.3) This document will take approximately 10 business days. We have to take this document to translator, and get it translated.
b.4) We will take all these documents, and drop in embassy of Canada in Mexico City.

Hi nartcr! Yes the following steps are as you mentioned.... Your wife will only be asked to update schedule A if she did not disclose where she has been since the age of 18. As far as when the PGR, etc. will be requested, it varies.. It can take from 2 weeks to 3 months. You actually received your AOR2 within the 4 to 6 weeks as my Immigration consultant had mentioned to me....I have a good feeling things will continue to move faster than in past years......

Quick question to anyone who has already received their PGR request: Does MCVO mail or email the PGR request??? My understanding is that we need to bring the original letter & a copy to the PGR office plus all requested documents in order to get the Constancia de Antecedentes Registrales.. Thanks!

I have received my AOR2!! Letter dated September 7, 2016... Just like my Immigration consultant said (within 4-6weeks).. Let's keep that optimism going ;D
