Hola Herrera09! Normally you will get 2 AORs. One for during the spousal approval stage and one during the principle applicant approval stage. The first comes from CIC Mississauga and the 2nd comes from the Mexico City Visa Office. If you've already received sponsor approval and the file was transferred to Mexico City you are in the 2nd stage of approval. Yes, you could consider the Spousal Approval letter as AOR1 though is actually a different letter. The September 18th AOR is theoretically your 2nd AOR or AOR2. You may never have received an AOR1. Sometimes that happens. Sometimes you don't even get an AOR2 and then just start receiving communications from the MCVO.Herrera09 said:Thank You. Well i filed my application March 23 2015. Recieved the sponsor approval May 28 2015. My file was transferd over to VO in Mexico City. We recieved what they call the AOR Sep 18 2015. Now i see people have 2 AOR and alot of people are getting fast processing times does the approval letter of Sponser count as the 1st AOR ?? And also my medicals were sent off with the application. Now my lawyer says i might not need interview. My concern is will this be over soon or does it still have a while??
Clear as mud??
Based on my own personal experience you appear to be getting fast processing times. ;D As far as how much more time do you have, that is the million dollar question. It could be as little as 2 or 3 months if your application is solid, uncomplicated and you don't need an interview, it could take up until the one year anniversary of your medicals, or if your application is problematic for some reason it could take even longer up to and including denial, appeal, etc....another 2 years or more.
I would direct you to our spreadsheet as that will give you an indication of the experience of those who have gone before us and those who are currently in process now. That is the best information you will find.
I also invite you to include you information in our spreadsheet. you can add it following the instructions in the spreadsheet (see my sig line) or I can fill in the information for you. Please fill in the following thoroughly and I will input your data.
Same goes for anyone else new here...
