I think CIC just love's to forget about my application all the time.... because they gave me 60 days to send my documents i don't know if that is why they are waiting to the 60 days mark to check on my application, 60 days will be the 5th of October so hopefuly the 5th of October they will check them!! lol :'(

Oh well that makes a lot of sense! Probably they're going to wait those 60 days to verify your application..in that way they don't spend time let's say checking every applicant every time to see if they received the documents.

Hola, estás en México o en Colombia? Si estás en México puedes hacer el trámite directamente en la PGR y estará lista tu carta en 10 días. Vas a necesitar la carta de la embajada, pero la puedes pedir directamente en la embajada, a mi me la dieron en 15 minutos.

ok here is the thing u can go to fbi page and print the forms and then go to any police station and they will take the fingerprints they are taking 3 months to process that so i suggest u do it with time, in my case i wish i knew that so yes try to do it after 6 months u sent ur application or depends what country are you doing it cus processing time is different, well about illegal in usa they will gonna thing ur bf wants to be in canada for the papers so they will call for an interview for sure but as long as the relationship is genuine and u can prove that theres nothing to worry about and also depends on the agent what hes prespective is but try to talk to a lawyer to be more sure...good luck wish u the best and dont give up !

Good Morning everyone, quick question has anyone send an FBI record ?, I need to know where to get the finger prints for it ?
and if it will have any impact if my boyfriend is illegal in the USA ? he is never been arrested or anything but he has over stayed his visa permit . I haven't received a request for it yet but im trying t o get everything they might ask for since it takes a couple of weeks to get all this documents, I didn't send it with the original application since he had only been 4 month in the USA at that time .... thanks !

Important information

 To facilitate matching of documents requested, please attach a label with your file number
 Immigrant visas have a validity limited to one year from the date when the medical on the top right corner of each document that you sent to our office examinations were initiated or the validity of the passport, which ever is first. Please ensure to have a valid passport. No extensions are granted once visas are issued.

Interview

You will be notified of the appointment for your interview, if required, approximately one month prior to the date of the interview, and you will be provided with further instructions at that time. Section 15 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act authorizes an officer to proceed with an
examination where a person makes an application for permanent residence in Canada for the purpose of determining whether the person and all his or her accompanying family members, appear to be persons who may be granted entry into Canada. To proceed with an examination, a personal interview is frequently required. Section 16 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act states that a person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination. If an applicant appears for the interview without all the family
members as required by the officer, then the required examination cannot be completed. This means that the applicant would be found to be inadmissible to Canada as a foreign national by virtue of the fact that he or she is unable to comply with all the requirements of the Immigration and
Refugee Protection Act and the Regulations, following sections 11 and 41 of the Act.

Authorization to Release Personal Information

If you would like to authorize Citizenship and Immigration Canada to release information from your case file to someone other than yourself, please complete and return the form “Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual – IMM 5475” found at the following link:

Your dependent children who are 18 years of age or older must complete their own copy of this form if they wish to authorize CIC to release their information to a designated individual. The individual you designate will be able to obtain information such as the status of your application and will be able to change your address if you move. However, they will not be a representative who can conduct business with CIC on your behalf. Please note that information regarding your case file cannot be released to your sponsor prior to the completion of this form.

Please advise our office of any changes in your family composition in your immediate family, or change of address since it may affect the processing requirements for your application or the category in which your application is processed.

Specifically, please advise our office in the event of the following:

If the subject of the email is AOR so you got it. In my case they did not ask for any information

Congratulations Saraotty!!!! and Valeescu, btw what is your timeline?

I received an email today from Mexico with the acknowledge of receipt of our RFPR, but then it says also something generic like "We have received your application, an schedule is not yet avaible, we will contact you when we start processing, please be patient blablablah"

At least I know they received it!! 8) I'm happy that they didnt take 3 weeks to respond to our inquiry, only 6 days. Hope next is AOR but I am like Saraotty yesterday, not so hopeful ;(
