Just to be clear the delays are if you are in canada - you are in Mexico so you won't have this issue. You are in PV? If so, you need to go to the PGR sede office in Guadalajara, or the Tepic office if you are in Nayarit. My husband just completed his a couple months ago. You cannot do it anywhere else, it takes about 10 days to process and you need to go back again to pick it up in person. Make sure you check the website and have all the documents requested or they will not process you. You need a request letter from the embassy to present for the police check. They will not issue a federal check without it. The website here covers all the requirements http://www.pgr.gob.mx/servicios/constancia/antecedentes%20registrales.asp and the office listing is here http://www.pgr.gob.mx/Vinculacion%20Ciudadana/Directorio%20Delegaciones/directorio%20delegaciones.asp again only the sede office can process this. It is confusing because when you call and ask questions half the people have no idea what you are even talking about. So call the sede there is someone there who handles these and don't listen to anyone else but them. As far as sending someone else, you can't it must be you in person and the only way someone can pick up the completed certificates for you is if they have power if attorney for you. They will not courier or send by email either.
Hi Tishness,
Thank you very much for your response, I am currently in Canada and have been receiving advice that contradicts each other for the last few weeks and is just making me so anxious since I had no idea what to do, plus there is little information out there from the official sites. I was told by CIC and was told I need the Federal Police records, to just follow the instructions in the link I got from them and just send them to the immigration section in Mexico. I was told by an immigration consultant that this process in particular is taking way longer than before for nationals living abroad, and I mean... 12 to 18 weeks, no wonder why there is people with 4.5 months still waiting. I do agree with what you said, it is so confusing and I am patiently waiting for this to just finish!!! Thanks again for helping me, all information I am receiving is greatly appreciated, specially by those who already are in the other side. I am so happy for your husband.

1 Husband ETA - August 1, 2015!
Our Ecas has finally changed to Decision Made! Yay... now if they would just send back the passport so my husband would stop asking me every 5 minutes if they have shipped it :p

We are very excited, it has been 4.5 years since we met, 16.5 months since we were married and in 6.5 weeks, we will finally get to be together permanently. No more of me getting on a plane every few months. It will be his first time out of Mexico, a lot of adjustments I'm sure, but we are mostly just overjoyed to have this all come to an end and finally start our lives together. Very anxious, a little nervous, bust mostly... we are both like kids waiting to go to Disneyland!

We hit 9 months to the day this past Monday since they received our file in Mississauga - sending everyone else good vibes for a fast and speedy process!

To the rest of us who are still waiting... Do you know what's going on with AORs from Mexico? I'm really worried that I don't see any updates lately. Did they just stop working on applications?

Why worry? it isn't as if your application isn't processed if AORs aren't sent... neither it means that the applications are processed if you recieve an AOR.

All communication regarding status updates are just a courtesy... they mean nothing really....

I am wondering the same thing. :( Over 120 days now for LovelyComplex. According to the data on the spreadsheet it has never taken that long to get AOR2 from MCVO. I'm trying to imagine what's going on in the VO. Did all the officers quit? work slowdown? on strike again? reallocated to other duties, TRVs FSWs or whatever? Mat leave?, sickness? flojera ;)?, getting ready for ETA?? who knows. :'(

I've personally pushed back any hope for a result on our file to November. And I'm getting nervous about a business trip to Portugal that my wife and I have in March 2016. It's hard to make travel plans not knowing which country you will be flying from.

It's frustrating about the lack of accountability that there seems to be in the VO. What ever happened to the idea about giving priority to reuniting families.

It's nerve wracking and frustrating to see no movement in applications.

Thanks for trying to reduce our stress ;)

Imagin my frustration!!! Hubby got SA february the 12th after that it's been radio silence If it wasn't for me and the e-mails I write to VO every other week i wouldn't have any idea whats going on. At least ecas changed to medical results which takes one less problem from me. And at least they replied in their last email to me the following:

"Madam,

This is in response to your email below.

Your application has been received by our office in Mexico. Our office will contact you as soon as we are ready to start processing your file. An exact review schedule is not yet available. However, all applications will be reviewed in the order in which they were received.

As your case has been received, this office kindly requests you to be patient. No further action is required of you at this time; nevertheless please monitor your email closely as you may be contacted by someone from this office for additional information.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum"

Sooooo i just sent then another email asking them to please write me an email when requesting any new documents or when requesting PGR's instead of sending then on regular mail.
Lets see what they reply, probably a nonsense answer, but at least is something.

I can see in the mexican timeline other applicants below my name from november and they either haven't get any news grom mexican VO. :( i really really hope i will get to hear something from then soon as it looks like they have been super slow since november applicants.

Me too canzanillo I've pushed back any hope for a result on our file to: September/october :( ;( i really hope August but don't think so...

Hi guys! Have you checked out the SD thread? Apparently that's what they're doing... They're working with the santo domingo backlog. Last week apparently they started receiving ppr and emails and so on. Now I truly believe they just stopped the pace with family sponsorship applications since February and started dealing with the SD transfer and now with their backlog.

I just hope they end with this backlog soon and start with 2015 applications. It's June and they just haven't even started :(
