- 1 Husband ETA - August 1, 2015!
My husband and I applied for a working Holiday Visa, a youth exchange program between Canada and 23 countries, including Mexico. We got approved through the International Experience Canada Office in Mexico City at the Embassy, only to then be refused by a visa officer.nprendiz said:No, no, no! Thank you very much. That's what I wanted. Someone with their feet on earth. I'll better not do it. I prefer to wait. I have jod, credits cards, house, family here in my country, but I don't want to messed everything up just because of this. We will find another way to see each other again. He just leave my country after a two weeks of visiting me. Thank you very much for your realistic answer.
"Current Financial Situation"
"Lack of Job opportunities in you home country" (he is an English Speaking hospitality worker in Vallarta, he doesn't have problems getting a job, nor would he here)
are the checked reasons on a pre-written list for refusal, more or less, thought he would over stay. Oh course most of us on here know better than to jeopardize PR by overstaying, but what can you do?
and because he has a refusal on his file, we were advised not to apply for a visitor visa, as one refusal pretty much guarantees another... so if you don't mind wasting your time and money, go for it, but as long as you are realistic that the odds are not great. It all depends on the visa officer you get, it's a gamble. I have read Canada has refused Mexican Supreme Court Judges for Visitor Visas... who knows how they decide really.
