Good Morning tricia-chile!tricia-chile said:Hi everyone,
First of all, the spreadsheet is looking great! Thanks CANzanillo!
We recently received stage 2 AOR, 97 days after receiving SA, I thought it was never going to come! Anyways, they asked us for an updated Schedule A Background / Declaration form (IMM 5669) detailing activity for the past 20 years (since turning 18). I thought this was a bit strange, we originally filled out the info for the past 10 years as per the application instructions, any idea why they would need more information? We're a fairly straight forward case, we've been living together in Chile for 6 years, were married in Canada 2 years ago, and have a 4y/o son. Also my husband is a University educated, has always been employed, etc. There shouldn't be any red flags however I'm now a little concerned..
Also, does anyone know what the next step is? I'm praying we don't get called for an interview since we're now located in Canada, and it would be kind of a pain to have to travel back to Chile (although we knew that was a possibility before we moved to Canada).
Any words of wisdom are greatly appreciated!
Por Nada! Hopefully we can improve the spreadsheet and make it a useful tool to track our applications.
I don't know that I have too many words of wisdom for you... You appear to have completed the IMM 5669 form correctly providing 10 (most recent) years of background. Perhaps there are other details of the form that they would want clarification on. Nonetheless, of course, best to get the updated form in to the VO asap to avoid more delays. Hopefully, they won't ask for an interview, as you say, your application seems pretty straightforward.
Your husband provided a police report upfront if I'm not mistaken, so barring additional documentation requests or expired medicals I would assume they would be sending you a passport request once they've finished all their vetting out.
Perhaps some with more experience would like to comment...
Best wishes for a successful application.
