Hi everyone, so happy we received the AOR from Mexico!!!! This is a relief to know that they are going to work on our file.
They asked us to fill out a form that wasn't properly filled out and asked us for more relationship proves such as bills, medical insurance, lease contract etc...
Can anyone tell me if those documents can be sent in spanish or they require a translation? As they are not offcicial documents such as a bith certificate etc.. I was just hoping that we can send them as they are.

Please help me out on that one : )

Documents that are not in English or French need to be translated. Since they are not official documents, you may do the translation yourself. They don't need to be certified.

Hello,

I have my husband file to Mexico too, we are awaiting for the final decision and it is very difficult to support, my file was received last year and so far all together it has been 15 months since we applied from having received a letter past september stating that my husband was needing to undergo his medical test again and to resubmit his police record from El Salvador autority. We are really anxious and fed up of all of this process, we have a child together and it's hard to watch her growing without her father. I wish so bably to have a Yes but I have to admit that I'm scare of a refusal..our file has been very complicated and very though to live...Please let us know if there is other applicant from El Salvador for the PR as a family member. Thanks to all of you guys, cuidate

My husband is from ES too. We are just at the beginning stages, only 3 months. I am sorry to hear it's been 15 months! That is way to long! I hope you have managed to visit. If you feel comfortable, share the details of your case. People are here to help and support.

Hi Barbarita,
I really don't think that they would ask your husband to redo his medicals if they were planning to refuse him so, I wouldn't worry about that.
15 months is a very long time especially since you have a child together. Have you completed everything else? Keep positive. You are almost done.

I can share but to go into all detail it would take a day ! to make it short I would say that before applying we were in trouble due to the restriction de migracion for my husband...we have been living together for a couple of months in his country and when I came back from SS in march 2012 I was having all the documents needed to start the process but except one: my husband passport ! it took us 4 months to get it due to a corrupted judge who was having nothing else in mind than to take advantage of my citizenship, my husband has a daughter in ESA and she has been doing lots of trouble to us til recently..now it's better and we have been able to take her to the medical test as requested, does your husband has children too ? thanks for your compassion but I'm sure that our case is one of the most difficult..so don't worrie yours will go better !

Hi kesy

thanks for your encouragement...Yes we did ! in fact the daughter of my husband who lives in ESA did not took the medical test at the first demand, wich was last february so in their last letter they were asking for her and my husband to underwent those medical exam to a design panel as well as to send the police reccords of ESA since the last one were dated over a year...

do you have a file to the embassy of Mexico too ?

I hope they can hear us and see how much we all suffered from this...I tell you this it is not human to treat people like that and to let them wait such a long time...specially when a child is involved

Hi Barbarita,

That sounds complicated! Has he received a request for an interview?

My husband doesn't have children, but I do. That's one of our red flags I think...that I've been married before and have kids, and he doesn't. Plus, he was a failed refugee claimant in Canada and was deported. I don't anticipate the road to be smooth. :'(

Best of luck! I hope everything comes together soon for you!

well this is not a red flag if your age difference isn't too big, did you meet him in Canada ? have you lived together ? where is your husband by now ? mine is living in San Miguel El Salvador but he did works for a year in the capital of San Salvador

Yes our file is complicated because we are and were both very ignorant of the laws and how it works and you have to add to this that we were the victim of a misrepresentation from a consultant in immigration...this person that I paid wasn't certifiy and did misconduct us and because she did we got in trouble and I had to hire an attorney and pay lots of money...all of this without the garantee that we were going to rectify the wrong information first given

I hope that no one will ever get abuse by this person and I hope you did not hire anyone dishonest as I did...

take care :)

Sometimes this is not a simple process! That sucks about having a bad consultant. I know there are good ones out there, but you never know until you start working with them.

We did the app ourselves. I read through this message board and gathered as much knowledge as I could, and then sent it in. I really hope I didn't screw it up!!

I am 4 yrs older, so it could be a problem. Hard to know. It's not a problem for us. we dated for over 2 years while he was in Canada. We were married this past summer in ES.

I hear San Miguel is really hot!

Hey Cici

4 years of difference it's nothing ! I don't think they will bother about this difference but he may have an interview..we did not get an interview so far but I believe that by the law they can appeal one at any time and to be very honest with you I wish they do !!! I did e-mail the visa section last january requesting if an interview was shedule and was answer NO NOT SO FAR..I believe that because we have a child they did not request one but with all and everything that did happen in our file that may have confuse them and delay all the process I have been wishing to have one and I still wish they do because I would catch the first flight I can attend and show up there with a lots of things to tell them !!! believe me I am very deceive by all of this and I feel frustrated...I know that lots of things are unfair in life but believe me we could have resolve so much of the confusion just by having an interview right away...gosh ! so if your husband has one don't take it negatively..it is a chance and make your best to go there...Yes San Miguel is very hot..I prefer San Salvador, where did you get married ? was your family there ?

Hi B! I am so frustrated too! I am tired of this "electronic relationship" and am dying to see my husband face-to-face! And for me it's only been 4 months, so I can't imagine what 15 months would feel like! I hear you, at least an interview would be action! I have mixed feelings. I would prefer no interview, as it would mean they had doubts. I did my best to explain every little detail I could think of - address any potential problems. Hopefully, the interview will be waived and we get the ARC request soon. (prayers sent for both of us)!

We were married in San Salvador. My parents and children came. Plus his family and friends. It was a small, but very sweet wedding. :) I loved SS! Never went to San Miguel. What about you? Married in San Miguel? Family came?
