Even if he never lived there, they are asking becuase he has traveled alot there. They ask for the fbi alot also from anyone that lived in a border state even if they have never been to the USA. Most likely to make sure they never tried crossing illegally. But anyways just apply for the FBI right away. And if it takes longer than the 60 days, you can email them closer to the deadline and tell them you are still waiting for the results and ask for an extension. They are fine with giving extensions as long as you let them know before the deadline whats going on. So they can confirm you re working on it and have no just tried to avoid the request. dont worry about it! Just do it as soon as u can

Thank you Leisa =) it's just prolonging the whole process by who knows how long =( They were saying in the letter that they are about to complete the assessment and that's what they need including Travel history in the states and copies of the Passport AGAIN!!!

I'm happy to know that they are at least working on the case and it's not collecting dust.But it will prolong the process by at least 2 months ;( And Ecas still says Application received LoL

FBI is from the USA, RCMP is from Canada,
but they will do an internal search for you through the RCMP, they will only request a full search if you had ever gotten your finger prints taken while inside Canada.

Why don't you ask your MP to request that info for you from Mexico VO? that's how I found out that my application was received in Mexico,I didn't get the AOR till yesterday 2 months after they had received it!

To be honest I'm in this process but I still don't understand everything lol I don't even know what a MP is nd this month is gonna b 3 months since they have our application ! How do I know who is my MP , how do I contact it and what should I writte ?

MP is Member of Parliament and he is the minister of public safety, he won't be able to help you personally but his or her assistant will. You can google it.What province and city do you live in?

which kind of interview? my spouse was interviewed for his investor application and we were both interviewed when as my sponsor. i'm not sure if any of these to relates to your case?
