looks like you are pretty close to the end of the process.
my guess is after they get the marriage certificate, it wont be too much longer before u get ppr.

there is still a chance of interview, but hopefully not if they are satisfied with the extra evidence u sent and the certificate.
do you have any idea how longer in months? whats a ppr.....thank you

Itss really hard to say.
But maybe without an interview like 1-2 months after they receive ur certificate.
Ppr is passport request. Thats when they ask for ur passport so they can put the visa in it and give u the Confirmation of permanent residence than ur all done and can head to canada.

No its super fast. Once u send ur passport to the embassy its only about 5-10 days to get it back.
Unless u live in mexico city than u can go drop it off at the embassy in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon :)

buenas dias Mexico !

I have a few questions and your help is always appreciated.

After the Medical is done- do they send it automatically to the Embassy or to your home ? if home-----is it regular mail or registered ?

In regards to Police: Once the letter (PGR) is sent to them (registered I imagine) do they send it back to applicants home (registered mail I hope) or do they send it to the Embassy ?

Thanks in advance :D

it gets sent to Ottawa medical processing center, than they look it over and put it into the computer system and than send it back to mexico city.
They cant send it to you, just because they want to be sure it isn't going to be tampered with or altered.

When you go to the pgr office to get it, they take all your prints and stuff and they call you back in about a week to go pick up the certificate from them. than its your job to send the pgr certificate to the embassy.

your the best !

tell me what you think is happening: my partner received e-mail from DHL late last week saying there is something for him for pick up but my understanding is----the letter for PGR is sent through regular mail. Do they sometimes do this ? He says he is not expecting any mail from anyone (thats why I thought maybe it was the medical) Thanks

they send the pgr regular mail unless you gave them a prepaid waybill.
I have never heard of them sending it with a waybill without you giving them one, because that means they would have to pay the extra money for it, and lets be honest the government doesn't like to pay anything for anyone lol!!.

has he called the dhl office?
it could be a scam,
I know in Canada dhl doesn't email you to tell you that you have something that needs to be picked up :-\

May hopefully!
hello again,
I was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation or if they could offer a knowledgeable opinion? I'll start with some background information. I originally went to Canada under a student visa. I met my husband while there, and we had a son on Jan. 2010 then we got married in May of that year. I stayed in Canada with a study permit extension and once I finished my degree, I applied for a post-graduate work permit. It was approved on Sept 2011 and it expires Sept 2014. Our plan was to apply for PR inland but I found out I was pregnant with our second son, soon after my permit approval. Feeling overwhelmed with a second baby on the way, we decided to have our baby in my home country to be close to my family. Now we're applying outland; our application was received on Feb 19 but we were misinformed at the doctor's office when I tried to get my medicals, so we sent our application without them. Now that we've sent our medicals, we're still waiting to hear on stage 1. My husband had an open job offer and we were hoping to stay together during the process, but he's going back to Canada in a week because his boss needs him back. What I'm wondering is if it's worth a shot to apply for a TRV with my work permit once we hear about stage 1? And is my work permit even valid anymore, since I haven't been in Canada for so long (about a year and a half)? If I do apply for a TRV, would bank accounts, employment letters from extended family, and a return ticket suffice as proof that I won't stay in Canada?

Hi everyone, does anyone know why an application in the Mexico VO would be taking longer than the average 6 months? My application was pretty straight forward and the VO hasnt even requested additional documents from us. 2 weeks ago i sent them a Case Specific Enquiry but have not yet heard from them. My husband is from Guatemala and i´m wondering if maybe the security checks take longer in that country? I don´t know...any thoughts??

where do you get 6 months from ?. It says 80 % of cases are resolved within 13 months. Waiting is the hardest part. Stay positive ! 8)

Every state has different PGR offices in different cities, not sure if all of them take finger prints but if you or your partner live in a larger city I'm almost possitive you'll be able to get it done there.

When I got my AOR it stated that the "Family Class" usually takes 6 months to process. Maybe that's what she is basing her info off of. I thought the same thing but maybe that's for the simple cases out of Mexico.... :p.....lol
