YES, I do think its enough...the basic requirements have to fall into some categories...sincere/credible relationship without motives and financial stability...meaning can they (you and your husband) live a life without you asking for social assistance and will you be a burden to our society or will you contribute to our society...I believe thiese will be the deciding factors. if you have an education or have provided information that you are willing and able to go to school or work then I think this will be no problem...Canada needs young people! I really think you will be ok, sometimes I think they look at other cases and try to move them faster because there are bigger families involved...like mine...together my wife and I have 5 kids so I think they wanted to unite us as quickly as possible. Our case took a little more than 5.5 months from the sposnorship approval to the visa approvals...you may be lucky or you may wait a little longer...i dont think more than 9 or 10 months, but if it is don't be worried because they say it is an average of 13 months...during the time you wait maybe you should take some courses so you can be prepared for when you arrive!

I hope they take at least 10 months with my application !! Im working full time while Im here in Mexico .. I took some courses while I lived in Canada & some here in Mexico but I think Im gonna have to do something else to take my mind off this !! :D

Me da mucho gusto por ti y tu familia , felicidades para toda tu famila si me imagino lo feliz que te sientes yo tambien me senteria feliz si mi esposo viniera mañana hehe ! Gracias dazz y buena suerte !! :) :p

Ive also seen common-law applications go through in 4-6 months where there are no kids involved, no interview and the couple is young.

it really depends on the evidence and the officer.
but I would agree I don't think it should take longer than 6-8 months to process it.
Woo 4-6 months I hope everyone´s application takes that long !! I hope a nice officer reviews my application lol

We applied outland for my wife enough though she was in Canada. When her passport came back we had to go to a boarder point so that she could cross into Canada and then go through all of the process. When we got to the American boarder we were sent to another area where we were rejected entry into the United States. My wife has a Laser card, the B!/B2 visa card for residents of Mexico who need a visa for the US. We were told that the Laser card is only for crossing into the United States and now that my wife is a permanent resident that the Laser card is no longer valid. She has to apply for a new B1/B2 US visa. It was busy so it took us about an hour to get through this portion. There were a number of other people doing the exact same thing as us. We were then escorted back to Canada.

We cross though the boarder point and told the guard that we were here so my wife could land officially. After checking my wife's passport and my ID, we were told to go into the CBSA processing office. Once inside we were called up and asked to verify everything on the form. We were also asked if we had any good that we wanted to bring into Canada tax free and that this was the time we were going to have to get it stamped. We have everything here so no need. We were then asked to sit down while the agent finished the process. We were called back and told you are now a permanent resident of Canada, congratulations. The PR card will arrive at your address in 4 to 6 week. That was it. We then toured Niagara Falls and made our way back home.

I have a question for you guys, I'm going to be doing the RCMP check and will be submitting it to Mexico City Immigration, in your experience what is the best way to do this? Give it to them by hand or send it by estafeta/fedex?

here is the link
https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=mexico

you have to send it through the website, or they wont respond
also when u are filling it out, make sure u use the applicants info along with the email that the embassy has on file.

if you use a different email, or the sponsors info, they wont release any information.

we sent ours to them via dhl. everything we ever have given them has been sent through dhl.
very reliable.

but if u happen to be in mexico city or live close to the embassy, there wouldnt be anything wrong with just dropping it off.

Hi everyone! It´s been a while since I posted in here. I have always found your suggestions totally helpful and this time, I come back for more insight! My process is now in step 2. Today I got an email from the Embassy in Mexico where they request a prepaid airway bill for them to send me the PGR letter of request and also, they ask for an updated schedule A form. They said that I failed to cover all time periods of section 8 of this form and requested my activity since I turned 18. I am a bit baffled for this as on the guide and the form, they specifically ask to specify my activity since the age of 18 or ten years back, whatever comes first. I worked at the same company since 12 years ago and that was the info I specified, I did not include details since I turned 18. ??? My question here is: As I have run out of rows in the chart, is it ok if I send an addendum where I basically start an additional chart and cover all my activity since I turned 18? I have a doubt with one date: I lived in Germany twice, once as a student, came back to Mexico and three months later, I went back to Germany as a nanny. The date I am not sure of is the first time I came back, I have looked for that stamp on my passport and I can´t find it. I do remember I came back on the spring of 1995 though, so should I openly say it on the addendum and just fill in that space with an approximate month? In your experience, how specific and picky are the immigration officers when it comes to these dates? Also, they said I didn´t specify my addresses since the age of 18 but I have double checked the form and ALL of them are clearly detailed since January 1994 (I was born in Jan. 1976, so I did calculate correctly from my perspective or not?)... If you have some thoughts on this, I´d really appreciate to hear from you!!! Thanks a lot once again!!! cheers!

For some reason this happens with everyone. there paperwork says one thing, but they still expect everything since u were 18. im not sure why they dont just change the paperwork.

for ours we didnt remember the exact months. we we put the most educated guess we could, as long as its close and the timelines still line up so that there are no gaps, it will be fine.

i would do the schedule a again, and if u run out of room, write the rest on a seperate piece of paper and put on the question refer to attached sheet, and than on the sheet put the question number so they can easily match up which answer goes with which question.

I counted the years and im getting since you were 18 aswell.
so maybe they just missed it,
just fill out the form again with the same address. this could just be a mistake on there end,
unless u lived someplace right before u turned 18, i suppose it doesnt hurt to add that address in just in case.

hope that helps!

Thanks a lot for this, LeisaP!!! Your comments were really helpful! I will finish redoing the forms and will take them to the Embassy tomorrow with a total feeling of trust... I want to stay positive now that we have sent all possible paperwork that is needed! Hope everyone here gets their immigration process solved promptly and easily!!!
