I think she means they won't let him board the flight back to Canada because he has no Visa, Permanent Resident card or Canadian passport.
The airline is right.
No people can board a flight to Canada without either one of those 3 documents. No applications in progress or proof that he has applied for PR are accepted.
If they do allow someone without the aforementioned documents, the airline gets a huge fine for allowing that once the person lands in Canada.

i think you should contact the manager,
because he has a valid passport, as well as a valid visa to get into canada, and his copr. there is no reason he cannot fly.

i just looked on their website and it says nothing about not being able to fly with simply a visa instead of the actual pr card.

every other airline allows u to fly with a visa, that just doesnt make any sense,

unless there is some sort of mistake.

He is going to have his visa to enter Canada. we just got the ppr request for our permenant residency application. We have gone through the whole process...he will have documentation and I told them that so they are aware of the situation

oh but he pretty much does....in the letter it states that the visa will expire april 28, 2014.....so why would they give us an expiry date if he wasnt going to get it?

but i think they are just saying u cant book the flight untill u have the visa in ur hand, so they have proof of it, which makes sense.

So would you believe that air transat won't fly my hubby home because he is mexican? I explained to them that he is going to have all proper documentation to enter Canada but they refuse to let him on. My mom, daughter, and I are staying at the Decameron for a week and we are flying with air transat. We were able to book my hubby through them into the hotel, but they won't let him return on the flight with us even if we pay the full package price. Isn't this ridiculous when he is going to have all documents in order to enter Canada. Any suggestions? Should I even bother to talk to a manager at Air transat. I think that this policy is totally unwaranted. I would understand not letting somebody who has no documents to fly, but this is totally different....
I am so frustrated!

You should put it on Twitter as well if you don't like the answer from Air Transat. It could cause a lot of problems for them if it gets out beyond an immigration forum.

I was just wondering how long it to the Embassy in Mexico to ask you for the ARC after they started processing your husbands application from there? They started processing my husband's on January 14th 2013 but we still haven't heard anything from his IO. They haven't even requested a med exam redo and I know his expired in March. Hmmm....I wonder what is taking so long?? It's only been 10 months since we first applied but I don't want the process to take any longer then it needs to. The Immigration waiting game is not fun! ???

Well the file was transfered to mexico city april 5. And we didnt hear anything, so in july, i emailed them and than they asked for his redo medical, and than they asked for police certificates. We handed all that in by the 2nd week of sept, and 2 weeks later sept 28 (and 2 weeks after we went to in process) they requested his ARC.

So it was 6 months into them having the file that we got the arc request.

But only 2 weeks after sending in the pgr and going into in process.

Have u sent everything in? Like the pgr and such already?

We have already sent in his PGR and SSP. The only thing that was missing was his Prints for the RCMP but like I told you before we had great difficulties trying to get them done. Our lawyer sent in a submission on Feb 27th because "all" those documents had to be in no later then Feb 28 2013 but we fell short and 1 clearence is missing. The IO still hasn't responded to my lawyer about the RCMP clearence and she asked the IO if they could offer any info on what we should do. Ahhhh! The silence can be so loud!
