I just received my notes and the surprise is that I'm in queue for an interview, but the reason is so stupid, my interview is for the refuge of my husband who was in 2008, he has been a permanent resident for more than 10 years, has not sense this.

I asked for an update on our file last week from the Mexico VO office. We got AOR2 November 27 2019 and then silence. I was advised that our file in queue waiting to be reviewed by an Immigration Officer. I appreciate that COVID-19 will delay things but to know that the files hasn't even been looked at yet was discouraging. I assume that there is no benefit to order our notes at this point as the notes are not likely to provide any further information.

At first I did not realize it, because it was at the end of the notes and it was created on 2020/04/23 and it says PA in queue for an interview by refuge and then all the information about my husband's refuge comes out, it ends with that we have no dependents and the province where we are going. I hope this is a mistake because I have looked for the interview reasons and I have never seen one for a refugee case, all that I have seen are due to age differences, fast marriages, PA dependents, or simply things about the relationship.

My conclusion is that your theory is true, they only try to delay the applications so that it reaches 2 years of marriage, when they are newly married.

But my question is, it is necessary to make someone wait 17 months to know that they will have an interview, it is stupid and inhuman. If I do not ask for the notes, I do not even know that I am waiting for an interview, it has been a month since the date that was created and they have not even notified.

My application was transferred in August and in September I received AOR2, my application was reviewed a last month, so it took them 6 months to open it. Im dec 2018 applicant

1- If CSQ have been received at Mexico and processed (it's been 2 weeks)

2- If we have notes that says an interview is required , now that we have the provincial agreement. (we have overcome CSQ, which was their requirement)

If the delay about 2 years was true, our file would have been accelerated after February. But it didn't happen. I'll let you all know, of course, but now I don't think it makes a difference.

Another tough event , today is my wife's bday and i can only wish her by online , never been able to be there at the timing or her bday is seriously frustrating. *sigh* may this thing ends , i'm really tired of all this.

And is the first real time i can't even send a thing to her at that date... not even a parcel , never gonna be delivered there from Intl during covid.

Where in the notes does your wife need an interview? because in the only part that should say that is in the end the notes where the officers write.
What it says "requires review" does not mean it is an interview, it is just a term used by the officers in the notes, so don't worry about it.

My question is how the interviews will be handled now, because we still don't know if there will be travel restrictions when the flights reopen.
We will have to go 15 or 21 days before the interview to do the isolation. In such a case, they must give us the visa the same day it is approved and not make us wait another eternity. If we return to our countries again make another isolation so 2 months are lost.

So far nothing mentioned she needed one just '"review required"... but we don't know it was to be reviewed by an Officer as they said when CSQ arrived (which is arrived).
We just want to have it clear in mind if that's needed or not as we have given them the requirement.

If in 2 more months you do not receive any news from them, ask for the notes and there you will see, if there is an interview request or not.
It is not because it is discouraging but in Facebook group there are so many people from 2018 who have had the csq since Nov 2019 and even Mexico has not finished processing the application.

Well i'm waiting news from MP on the last day request. but no, so far in March it was none indication of any interview.

Seems Mexico is restarting to work on monday... idk about the VO itself tho.
