:( Gricelanora, I'm honestly not sure what you could do or if by going in there with all those documents would help. I would try going to the PGR place and having them maybe write a letter stating that they refused it however many times when you brought the precartilla. It's worth a try?

When did they request the police clearance and how long did they give you to get it in to them? Also how long was your first extension??

the extension was sixty days, see my issue was that my hubby was in the states n we had to get the FBI clearance witch it took like 2 months and then my hubby didnt have his precartilla so we had to apply for that and mexican offices for precartillas close in october and reopen in january so we fell on that line but we would have been able to hand the papers earlier but we were inform at the PGR that we had to hand in the documents all together so we kept everything, not knowing that the PGR was not going to accept the precartilla.... and my husband try to get a letter from them but they don't eant to be held responssible.... so premuch what i have to go on is those papers..... should i hire a lawyer, i heard that they r very pricy anyhow i will talk to my mp and see what she advices me to do

if you need me to write a letter stating what they told me over the phone I would be happy to do so.. I would also try and get a letter from the PGR stating what happened.. it that is the reason they rejected you it will help with your appeal.. How do you know you only recieved one extension, did they send you an email stating that?

I dont know if you would need a lawyer because they didnt reject your application b/c they believe that the relationship wasn't genuine, rather that you were unable to provide a required document in order to issue PR.

Hi again...

One last little question about the sponsorship...
Since my wife and I are planning to move to Montreal Quebec, is there an application form only for Quebec immigrants? (since Quebec has different immigration laws than the rest of Canada). Or is it the same application form, because I read that first we would have to get an approval from Quebec and then from Canada...

Thanks in advance!

Wait, what?

I don't even know what document I have, if it's a precartilla or cartilla. I was in Canada when I turned 18, and when I applied to my current job, they asked me for my cartilla, so I went to city hall or w.e. And got this document, basically 4 small sheets, the first one with my information, one fingerprint and a seal that says "Remiso" on the upper left side, and the last sheet is a green one with some constitution articles. I went on June 2010 and they told me to go back on October of that same year, however I never went back as I figured I wouldn't ever need it.

Is this a precartilla or what? I'm really confused and would HATE to get into issues with the PGR because of something like this, as I'll have to get that document eventually. I hope someone can help!

Edgar

Edgar,

My SO precartilla is also four small pages

On the front there is:
Secretaria de la Defensa Nacional
Servicio Militar Nacional
All my SO information
his photo, fingerprints, and there is a number in red.
on the back of the very last page (its thicker, it says cartilla de identidad servicio militar nacional)

That is the precartilla we recieved from Cancun, Quintana Roo however I dont know if they all look the same since I know each state does things differently.

In Cancun there was a specific office to get the precartilla only.

Hope this helps

To add, if you do not have your precartilla, I would get it ASAP they will not issue you a federal police check without one

oh god mc1234, if you could do that for me i would be very greatful.

humm the reason why i say that they only gave me one extension is because when they first send me the notice for the police forms that is not consider an extension,i send them an email requesting the extension because i had not gotten the police clearance from the states, so they wrote me an email stating that they would extend it for one time only and that if i didn't provide the forms they would go on with what ever they had on my application. that is why i say that they only extend it one time.... we try to get the PGR to write a letter but they wouldn't so if you can mc1234 i really appreciated it

Hello mc1234

That is the exact same document that I have. Is that one enough to get the Carta de Antecedentes Registrales?

I got freaked out because from what I understood, they didn't accept this document for gricelanora.
Also, while I wait for your responses, my googling skills led me to this guy that was able to get one just with this document, so I'm somewhat confused (read: freaked out) that they will not accept it.

Hi Oscar.

Does your wife live in Quebec? Or is she at least from there? If so then yes you need a different application form, and your process will be a bit different as you have to get a CSQ (Certificat de selection du Québec)
