i have ordered them to clear my mind that we are just waiting on Mexico (which i'm pretty sure....) but... we are on month no5 i wanna have the full portrait. Agent at CIC saying the application is super solid and complete blabla.. but they are not officers so... i tend not to rely on them much hehe

Just finished with MP representative. She seem serious about it and is going to take a look into why it took 6 months for them to start the applicants process(march1, 2019) and send the correspondence receipt letter(March 12, 2019).

She explained to me there's 3 stages the visa office looks into. Medical after receieved, eligibility and background check. Apparently the back check includes the Venezuelan police certificate we submitted and theres two other background checks they do that even she doesn't know about.

I explained to her my wife passport expires April 2020 and that she will be here before the passport loses any validity. Passport should be valid for six months in order to travel to Canada and I guess that's true for Venezuela as well.

What is everyone's experience with MP? Is this some sort of sales pitch or stats?

Yeah that's pretty standard check, like some said, either she's calling CIC immigration center or calling visa office in mexico. Hard to believe any good news coming out of this due to everyone MP experiences:(

My application is in Mexico since March 1, 2019. CIC sent me a letter on March 12, 2019 correspondence acknowledging receipt letter I got from CIC application status online and by email. Is this an AOR or AOR2?

In one of the emails I got from VO cause I was pestering them for an update, they said to refer to my AOR on March 12, 2019. Today I spoke to my local MP and she said the March 12, 2019 letter is not AOR2 but it's correspondence acknowledging receipt. Im seriously confused what is what and have no idea what stage this application is on

When it's sent by mexico it's supposed to be AOR2 means they gonna start processing it.

Otherwise that's the letter that confirm the transfer..(CIC)

AOR happens when IRCC are receiving your app in Sydney .... so it's done since a lot ago...

wow, i know they sometimes don't send emails for the following AOR, AOR2 and that MVO(file transfer) but i didn't receive any of those

All i can say is that usually it's

CIC AOR1 - At arrival at Sydney .... a few weeks after
CIC MVO ( when it's sent to a VO)
VO AOR2 - Received by VO and ready for processing.

not only when initially sent.. you do sometimes get an AOR2 when the VO opens your file after it has been transferred.. this looks like an AOR2

this is your AOR2.. AOR stands for Acknowledgement of Receipt... the MP even said theyre acknowledging receipt
