Hello from what I've read the only way to know if your interview was waived is to receive an email requesting that your passport is to be sent to the embassy..

Mr. McCallum, whose riding has the third-highest percentage of visible minority population at 82 per cent, said that he finds it “abominable” that it takes almost two years for the spousal immigration applications to be processed, and after arriving in Canada, another two years to receive permanent-resident status. He said that his department is working on coming up with plans to speed up the application processing times. Mr. McCallum did not offer a specific target timeframe for reducing the application processing times, but said that it will be brought down “radically.”
Mr McCallum is my MP , Do you think I can get some special treatment ? lol , Just kidding .
So If I'm to send a specific inquiry via my MP , I should Contact Mr .McCallum to Contact Mr.McCallum's office on my behalf or how it work ?.

No, they will email you informing you of an interview date.

I am the sponsor. I knew my case was very simple, we met in a restaurant, we were together about a year and a half before we got married, my entire family and a few friends flew down to the dominican republic for the wedding, his family attended, i send minimal money for support only, no kids, 5 years age difference (i am older), different religions but neither of us are practicing and similar education. His medical was expired in January, and we were requested to re-do in Feb... which i was annoyed by at first, but then realized that many people had been denied at interviews, with expired medicals, so then my thinking was, maybe a re-med is good...? But of course it makes you crazy not knowing... so I was told on another thread of the forum, that the medical is the very last thing they look at in your file, once everything else has passed. When asked for a re-medical after a year of waiting, there is a 0% chance of having an interview.

My ecas was hardly ever updated, even today (we received copr on march 14) there is only 4 lines, and still says in process.

thank you very much, i would like to think my case is simple too hahaha....we dated 4 and a half yrs before marriage, on our 4th year he moved to canada, a couple of months after relocating he proposed over the phone....hilarious but cute. i then visited him for xmas and came back pregnant :) . we submitted our files while iwas still pregnant. now we just added the little one. Mississauga requested updated forms and birth cert for the baby. so now is the waiting game :(. haven't heard anything from my VO, they last emailed me couple of months ago, responding to my email about adding our little one. they just said the sponsor need to inform mississauga, there after ishould send proof to my them (my VO)....iwonder now if Mississauga will send us something, or if they will correspond with the VO

Hey! Sorry for the delays, I don't get notice of the replies to my comments :/ I actually had to go in to the threads.

Well I must say good news! Yesterday we got PPR :). They went completely silent since AOR2 in November and then yesterday afternoon was the PPR.

I must say I am very very very happy and I feel like I took a ton of weight out of my shoulders. Finally I can get some sleep! I know the process it's not done yet, but at least I have a pretty good idea when it will.

However, I have also mixed feelings about this process. How come the process is exactly the same if the couple is together in Canada or if they are separated but from a visa-exempt country or separated and from non-visa exempt? (let's be honest, most couples in canada still apply for outland process cause they know it is faster, and they get in the exact same queue as couples separated that cannot visit each other). Anyways, it's not my intention to stir the pot here, we can open another thread to express our frustrations...

I honestly wish that the cases that have been longer than mine get processed as soon as possible, as well as all the other cases! A couple is not supposed to spend 17 months apart from each other. Stay strong and I hope time will pass fast!
