Mexico City Visa Office December 2016-2017 applicants

Share your experience with the Mexico VO starting in December 2016. It looks like this is a very slow VO compared to others!

Anyone has info on the processing times for the Mexico VO?
I haven't been able to find too much information on this forum.

There is not a lot of info that I could find either. Seems right now they are working on May/June applications for approval. So I believe the average is about 9 months.

I got sponsor approval Jan 20 and said it was transferred to Mexico. I haven't received AOR2 or anything from them. Well I guess I should say my husband since he is the PA. But I did read it is normal for them to send it out almost 2 months after or not at all.

Sorry! I know it's super hard not to worry and just want it done and over with. It's so hard to judge the timeline. Hopefully someone else will post and give you more insight

It seems like maybe this thread didn't get a lot of activity; I'm not sure if that's because there aren't a lot of applicants going through that office or not a lot of people asking questions. Just curious about other people's timelines? I applied Dec 6, 2017 putting me at 229 days today. I don't have Background Check Started on ECAS and no DM... so just wondering if any previous applicants (although I imagine you aren't active on here anymore if you' have DM hehe) can shed any light? Thanks!

i think this was made for those who applied in Dec 2016.

I went through mexico and it took 12 months and 5 days. you are still within your processing times (average of 12) months. no one can really say when you will hear anything!!
