I know is not easy... it's almost an year we know each other and we're apart... we fell in love so quickly that I feel like it's been years!
I can't stay without him anymore and I'm sure we'll be fine together... I've never been so happy in my life like I am with him, in spite of our distance.
What makes me so sure we're gonna be a great couple even in person is based on 2 facts:
1. If I didn't love him I could have decided to break up months ago
2. If I didn't care I could chose to cheat on him, and he could do it on me, and decide not to go through a distance relationship... but I've never regretted it and we've never cheated on each other... this made us stronger as a couple

The cost of university education for an international student might be a bit of a stretch for a young couple.

This is what I'm trying to say... and my parents don't want to help me when it's time to buy tickets, let alone paying me university there.
It's true that here we have universities way more expensive than Canada... but we can't forget the salient point: we are so young and I'm focusing on working, not studying. It kinda "hinders" my plans, if you follow me.

Hi everyone! My name's Laura and I'd like to receive some information about how immigrating in Canada.
I'll try to be as clear and short as possible: I'm 20 years old and I live in Italy. Starting from October 11th 2012 i find myself in a long distance relationship with a canadian guy that i met on August 2012 and now we'd like to meet each other (finally!) within the first week of September.
Since I'm leaving in September and I can stay just for 6 months, I'll go back on March 2014. He's gonna host me in the apartment he bought for us and since he works he will be able to support me when I'm there to stay.
The problem is that we have projects for the future, such as get married as soon as possible and have kids, but first I need to stay there permanently.
We would like to apply for my permanent residence under the "Family Sponsorship" class, but we have no idea of what to do!
We've been looking for months but we still aren't ready and prepared.
I just wanted to know which steps we have to follow: have I to live with him a certain amount of time to be able to apply for the permanent residence? If I need to, do I have to extend my tourist visa so I can stay more? (how? I don't need one to travel there)
We aren't married yet, cause we considered to do it after I can stay there permanently, so how can we define ourself? Conjugal/Common-law partners? I don't think so, we're just in a long distance relationship.
I'm sorry for all my questions but I really need to find out what can I do to stay in Canada permanently and start my life there with me.
I hope you can help me (I don't trust websites anymore cause they just confuse me and never give me a sure answer) and I thank you all in advance.

I've never even started it... I couldn't choose between two subjects I like... they're too different and in both cases I wouldn't find a job... here, neither in Canada unfortunately... plus is expensive, I'd rather work instead

Exactly... or while I'm waiting for PR I could eventually come back and get a temporary job here to save some money for when I'm back... is not easy to find a job where I live, but I can try... nowadays is hard as hell and it takes time to find one, but I wanna give it a try

Nah, I've never lived outside Italy I was born here and I've ever lived here... I just visited some countries for not more than 8 days, but never moved or lived abroad. People from Italy doesn't need a visa so everything will be ok, I'm sure... the only reason why it will probably take so long is that we always do things soooo slowly! ???

The visa officer processing your application will be a Canadian working at the Canadian embassy in Rome. The reason the visa takes so long to process is most likely because the Canadian embassy in Rome handles other countries as well as Italy. Applicants from Italy most likely are processed more quickly on average than applicants from Albania or wherever.
