Message from VFS,Ahmedabad

Dear All,

I received a text message yesterday on cell phone stating:

"Processed visa application ref no ****/****/*** has been released by the candian High Commission/Consualte to Delhi/Chandigadh center on 04/10/2013."

I want to know does it mean that my Passport has been delivered to VFS,Ahmedabad from where I am supposed to collect the Passport or a separate message will come stating that Passports are ready for collection.

Those who have received similar messages pl. reply.

No there will be a lag of couple of days. You can track movement of PPT through VFS link using the reference number. If you have not opted for delivery of ppt through courier then you will see a message like "We have received your PPT from CHC and this is available for delivery at VFS counter"

So I will wait for the next message.On VFS site it is showing ,Passport is in transit so may get delivered in Ahmedabad on Monday or Tuesday.
I have opted for collection from VFS so once I get next update on site or get sms,I will proceed.

Congratulations Edmonta.

I have recently received my Medical Request and Passport Request. I am just thinking whether to submit the documents/ passports through VFS or directly to the Consulate. Please suggest me. And also would like to know how much do they carge. I have to submit my passport along with my wife's and child's. I am planning to submit on Monday or Tuesday, how long do you think it will take to get the passports back with the stamped visa's?

My parents received the similar message Today on their mobile numbers. But my onlien statu still showing In Process. i am in tension little bit. wa syour status also showing In Process when you got thsi messages.

Did you received your passports with visa stampd and other papaers.
