I am afraid I am going to get a -1 for saying this but I am going to take that risk because this could help you in the future. So here I go: You were admitted into a Graduate program in Computer Science and you are on this forum asking people how to pay the tuition? Do you see the irony in that?

Also, if this info is not enough, I suggest you contact them on the given phone numbers or just call the enrollment services at MUN and they would be able to help you with everything. Good luck buddy and kindly be pro-active in teaching yourself how to research stuff and how to find out information like this. That would be a very important skill-set you would need to survive in Canada.

I appreciate the response. I encourage constructive criticism.

Nevertheless, I have gone through the "tuition fee" link you sent me. There are also additional links I visited that explain how to pay the fee. The problem is that in the "Memorial Self Student" section, there is no link to pay the first semester fee, and it is because registration starts in august and the link to pay the fee for the semester starting in semester is only possible after that. That is why most students pay the fee only after they get the Visa.

I, on the other hand, is a meticulous visa applicant because of my pretty bad history(multiple visa rejections). I want to submit fee before I apply for the Visa to make my case stronger. And, conceivably, I am not able to figure that out. I tried contacting the "account section" of the MUN before posting this thread but I got no response.

I thought the best person to help me out would be the one who have already gone through the similar process. Additionally, I get to meet other CS admits whom I can interact with on other matters as well.

I wasn't planning on writing the entire damn essay on a tiny issue, but God, you made me.

P.S: I gave you +1 for the comment and the all the effort you went through for the tirade you wrote above

Thanks for explaining that. If I had known that's the problem, I would not have made you write the essay. Then again, you never provided all that information. Anyhow, your post did bring a genuine smile on my face. It's good to know it's not another non-researching slob on the other side.

If I may suggest something, try contacting the student enrollment services, those folks usually know all there is to know about issues like these. If not, they would at least be able to direct your call to somebody who does know something. Also, I will call them tomorrow and see I can find something out. After all, I gotta pay you back in someway for writing a whole damn essay! And yes, paying the fees before applying for the visa is fairly important in visa officers' eyes. Been there, done that!

So I talked to the accounts dept at MUN and the lady told me that you would need to register before you pay the fees. If not that, the only way is to wire them the money by using following details:

Name of Payee: MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY OF NEWFOUNDLAND
Account number: You student number

Make sure you use the student number as the account number because that is how they are going to know who is paying. Also, make sure you are transferring Canadian dollars. They won't accept any other currency. I think Thomas Cook can help you in that department. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Wiring them money might be one way, but we can also pay the fee online via credit card. Credit card option is shown in "memorial self service" account. There also a 1.85% convenience fee for credit card payment. This amount gets stored as the "account balance" and would be deducted as soon as someone register the course. Registration only starts about a month before the start of semester.
