Say your MP communicates with your VO. They are using e-mail to do it.

Is it your right to have access to the e-mail received by your MP on your behalf from the VO?

If the email was addressed to your MP or MP's office, then no - I don't think you have the right to see it.

May you know someone who can confirm this?

Have you ever heard of an MP allowing one of their client see this kind of information?

I don't know anyone who can confirm this. But logically if something is addressed to the MP - it's up to the MP if he/she releases this information to you or not.

A better question would be: if you involve your MP with your case and ask him or her to nag your VO on your behalf, do you have the right to be upset after your application gets further delayed or gets lost down in the basement inexplicably?

It's NOT addressed to you, NO you don't have a right to see it.

And this rarely, if ever, happens. Where are you getting these ideas?

Sorry TS, I don't think you have any right to see it unless he chooses to disclose the information with you. It is a private letter addressed to him. This is similar when company's run credit checks on people, the information is not shared with the individual.

What does the the MP have to gain by lying to you? I would be careful about insinuating such a thing. There is a saying, "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar", try it.

I apologize if you think what I said was directed at you, it wasn't. I would honestly think if it is about you, you would be able to say "I'd like a copy of what they sent you".

Granted, that could be why my MP pretty much hates me :)

Hi. You can request your MP to be transparent to you with all the exchange of information bet. your MP and the Embassy where your application is being processed. Our MP shared to us only the content of the email w/ regards to da current status of our application... which is on queue for final review for the coming weeks.

Where are YOU getting the idea that "this rarely, if ever, happens"??

The fact is that the applications are processed at CIC by PEOPLE, not computers. And just as any other people, they have emotions too. So imagine how someone would feel if they're dealing with dozens of different applications at any given time, and ONE of those applications are coming with additional nagging from a politician. Do you REALLY believe that the person processing that application will just smile and continue working on it? Or will that one specific application go straight to the bottom of the pile?

Gee...I wonder...

You need a chill pill. I think they know better than to shove it to the bottom and probably want to just get it done with. I e-mailed them and a week later found out that it went to another office. So chances are, they might have MISSED your application. Never have I heard of someone who asked their MP to find out what's up, waiting a crapload longer.

Seriously, you need to somehow DE-STRESS because you are taking it out on someone ONLINE. Lovely.

Not that I am in any form supporting tuyen (if you have read any of our posts you know we have a love hate relationship lol) but I have said this in many other posts about contacting CIC and MP's... seriously, how would you know that that is what they have done? they can come up with a million reasons to say your case has been delayed, it is not by any means ethical but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen they are human just like all of us and I tell you if I worked for CIC and had 500 applications sitting on my desk and someone calling or the MP complaining I wasn't doing my job even tho the case is within processing time, your dang right it would go to the bottom and wait till the end of the processing time was about to expire.... good thing I don't work for CIC....
