My spouse applied online in 3rd week of April. Looking at the trend we are planning to do a paper application instead, with the same receipt used for online application. Can it have any negative impact? We were thinking the first one to get picked will be processed while the next one may be returned due to lack fee payment. These agonizing wait times to even get an AOR is really sad.

I read in an older thread where someone reported that those that applied online after end of feb have gotten the email acknowledgement after application submission (as they slightly upgraded the online platform). Jan and Feb applicants have not received any email acknowledgments

Probably submission confirmation email. The email itself states wait for AoR, it will be sent once officer reviews for completeness.

Nova Scotia is currently in lockdown. Hopefully that helps with processing online applications as employees can work remotely to process them.

ITA: 30th March 2021.
Uploaded ITA documents: 24th April 2021.

Just wanted info on a couple of question. How long till I receive a reply from IRCC? Also by as my PNP nomination expires on 30th Sep 2020, will it affect my ITA if the documents have not been processed till then?

This is citizenship application forum, i think its best to ask in PR forum. But based on what i remember, since you have already applied on 24th April why do you worry about PNP nomination expiration?

The reason I asked about the nomination expiration is coz I wanted to know if there is no progress on my submitted documents till 30th Sep 2021, does that then mean that my ITA will automatically be rejected? I tried to google this but was not able to find any info at all. Hence I'm still trying to figure it out.
