Hi,

I’ve received the AOR on 22nd of March 2018 and got Meds passed on the 31st of March, 2018. There has been no progress after that.

I’m applying as a couple, I and my wife are of different nationalities. The status still says “we will send you a message when we start your background check” for almost four months now.

Is this cause for alarm? Is there anyway I can check status? Thanks.

You can order GCMS notes for true status of your case.:)

If you have more than one employer experience, then it will take some time. So hold on to.

I have four reference letters from my side and my wife has five reference letters. Also we both have submitted four PCC each from four different places. Will this affect the processing times?

No cause for alarm. The online status is not frequently updated by reviewing officers.
Thanks a lot for the positive reply. Helps keep my jitters away.

I’ve read on these forums not to apply for the GCMS notes until six months have passed. Is that true?

Obviously, sit tight. Verification will take some time.

You can apply whenever you want

Just want to update that I received the PPR on the 26th of July and I got my CoPR and visa on the 2nd of August.

Congratulations! When and where did you submit your passport? You got the stamped passport and COPR within six days of getting PPR?

A quick question regarding background Check. Would the officers check the details of only the primary applicant or for both the primary and secondary applicant?

I got the PPR email very early in the morning, so I submitted the passport same day at VFS in Dubai. It was sent to visa office in Abu Dhabi the same day. So the process was quite quick.

They asked for PCC of both me and my wife. So I’d assume they would check for all applicants involved.

Congratulations! Would you share your timeline on background check?

I got AOR on 21 Mar and now still in IP1. I checked with my referees and they have not received any call/email from VO to check my background so far.
