Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. My boyfriend and i would like to apply for EE, and we found out with immigrant counselr that we have a good score, however before starting the process i'm worried since I have this chronic condition which needs to be managed by four types of medications (warfarin, nexium, deralin and ursolit) its called polycethemia vera abd portal vein thrombosis. How do I get to know? Is there a good chances to pass the medicals with a good letter from my doctor? What would you suggest me to do? Is it worth getting into the process at all? All the best! :) thanks!

I guess it is a non communicable condition. So you should be good to go. They have a problem with communicable indication such as HIV

from what I have read so far, they only reject on the basis of medical if you have a communicable disease or if the medical costs associated with managing your condition are a burdain on their medical system. I remember reading a number on the forum for the actual value for the cut off, but cant find the link. Safe to say that if the cost of medication and treatment for your condition runs into the excessively large amounts, they might have a reason to reject your application.

Thanks for answering. It is a non communicable condition. I'm concerned over the possibilty that they will reject my application over the costs

Not really. If you already know what medicaton or regular check up s your partner needs, check the price for that in Canada (or USA for a reference). that shall give you a bit idea what would be the costs.
