Hi, Amay. Something unusual happened to me. I have been waiting for my PPR and because the CAIPS note says BF'd Aug 2012, I completely given up hope. So 20th June I sent out my Post Study Work application. But surprisingly, on 20th June at 10:00 PM (Canada time 5:00 PM), my lawyer sent me email about interview. I felt like shooting myself. Now I have no passport for interview.
Next day early in the morning I called Home Office requesting to return my document. The lady took all my detail and reason for passport return and I was told that I would get the documents by 4th July. On 29 June I called just to see how thing going with the return process.
I was told that there is no record of document return requesting showing on the computer system. Very frustrating. Then the request had to be made again. Since then I sent them 5 faxes, 2 recorded letter with a copy of interview confirmation. and called at dozen of times.
Now I only have 3 days remaining to get my passport. Frustration started to reach its highest level. I called my local MP explained him the situation. He then called Home Office and he within half hour he sent me an email confirming that they dispatched my passport. what a relief!!! The next day, passport arrived with Work Permit. If I would have received the interview notification a day before or I delayed to submit the application a day later, I could have saved £600.
