Hi Amay,
Here you are little ahead of me. :'( :'( :'( :'(
My CAIPS notes issued on May 27 states SEC CRIM as 3 for both me and Spouse.
When did you get your CAIPS?
Thanks
Soby

Hi Nectar the request for updated PCC depends on the validity of earlier PCC which is one year from the date of issue. I believe it has nothing to do with any feedback form background check rgds shanks

Dear amay,

Immigration Officers at CHC level can't alter/delete remarks or decisions once entered into CAIPS/GCMS.

CHC London will only ask to submit updated PCC if the crimnality decision has NOT been entered in CAIPS/GCMS.

In case the crimnality decision has already been entered then there is no point to ask for updated PPCs.

IPM may ask for an updated PCC in case something comes up in the background checks/security checks- The exceptional circumstances.

I hope this information is of use to you.

Hello All,
Any Pakistani applicant whose file was transferred from Islamabad to London in june 2010 and did his/her medicals in Jan/feb 2011 received PPR step 1 letter?
May Allah help us all

Hello Everyone,

Though this thread is a step ahead from my recent status.... I wana ask you guyz one thing as u also went through this situation.. My E-status change to IN PROCESS.. now after this how long it takes to get Medical request... I asked the consultant he told me the moment people who got their 2nd file number in April they got Medical request while i got ma 2nd File number in August 2010. Hoping for the best.... Once all the documents got clear what e-status shows and medical request indications or what????

Nadeem,
Usually u get ur medical requests in say 4 to 6 months or maximum 8 months after getting IN PROCESS. Maybe the file is on hold. Better order CAIPS or send a mail to ur V.O.

Hi,

Just wanted to update that I have recieved my PPRs on 17th June. In response to my mail asking about it, CHC sent the PPRs saying that they had already sent it on March 23rd to my consultant. Anyway I requested for at least 30 days more to submit the passport now, and they responsded confirming 30 days time. Now in the process of sending the passports in time, since currently my spouse will be traveling this week on an unavoidable trip. God willing we should be able to send it in time since our medicals will expire according to CHC on 7th September.

Regards

Please make sure you do everything so that you can land in Canada before 7th september.. or else it will again be a long wait from there on .. u will have to go again for medical and all that crap .. what i'd suggest you is to go to london for a week... or if someone u know in london could do it for u .. that also is possible .... it hardly takes 2 weeks there .. 85% cases are done within a week ... works from Thursday - thursday .. so go there on a wednesday .. submit passports on thursday .. check back next thrusday .. if not then definitely next thursday to that ... everything will be fine .. mine was the same case ... I was given 45 days after PPR.. but i had to go to India ... so my consultant sent an email to CHC and they allowed me to send as soon as i came back from India .. I have sent the passport on May 25th .. so dont worry abt anything .. CHC is helpful in this regard .. but dont jump the sep 7 deadlin e.... plan accordingly...

Hey thanks..Yes we plan to land before the deadline coz really dont want to go thru meds and then waiting again..Hoping to send the passports in about 15 days, once spouse's travel is done..But as u say, the London option is probably the best, will check on if that can work out. Thanks again

Nadeem, while ur case is in process it has two stages.. one is simple received by visa office .. second is where they say that we started processing ur file on ________ (date). Once that date is there... it takes around 15 days - 1 month to receive medical... Secondly Since CHC changed rules last year so there were a lot of applications... so to me it seems normal delay... however ... Please check the letter u got when u received the second file number ... In many cases it is stated as 8 months ... but CHC keeps changing it with the flow of applications... so if u are already past the mentioned timeline .. .send them an enquiry ..... also ecase status will not show medical request sent ... as i said .. the moment it says we started processing your file on ________________-- date .. u r about to receive your medical ...

Hi Nadeem,
its not necessarily happens, that we receive the MR immediately after the E case turns into in-process (Though it happens in many cases). My E case turned to in-process in June 2nd 2010 and in August 2010 i was given an answer to my query that, an interview is requested on my case and they are waiting for the slot in Abu Dhabi for my interview. And after all that i got my MR in Mar 2011.
So in-Process merely means that your PSDEC has passed and they are processing your case.
A case specific inquiry after the date line appears after in-process, will help you to better understand your case status.
Rgds,
Soby
PS: just in between: we can not assume any uniformity of the case processing as each case is much different in nature and is treated accordingly

Hi everyone,
Please add me to the list (if it is still being maintained).

This is a great thread, and kudos to the maintainers and contributors. The quote from member MONEY giving the full text of his PPR was very helpful. I wonder if any member from Pakistan who has received the two step PPR that CIC has prepared for Pakistani applicants (as we apparently cant legally send our passports by courier to CHC London), would like to share the details of the PPR (Step 1, or Step 2, or both).

For Nadeem, I would respectfully disagree with the above response to his query. I am an applicant from Pakistan and it took me over 6 months from my In Process Date to get my Medical Request/RPRF.

I expect it will take another 3 to 6 months for my PPR.
