Sure is! I really wasn't expecting to get it before the New Year, so it was a nice surprise.

At least this means that London have sprung back into action, so some of you can expect PPRs very soon.

Hello Londonqtr,

Yes it is Federal Skilled Worker (what do you think FSW stands for?!), but I applied under the old category 3, which requires at least 1 year working in Canada (similar to Canadian Experience Class). This category was removed in June 2010, but I don't think they are treated differently to Cat 1 or Cat 2 if that's what you're thinking.

Humanist

Congrats to those who got passport request.
I think London CHC is taking average 5 months for passport request.Am I right???

Full documents sent July 2009
Medical request 18 Oct 2010
Medical done 5 Dec 2010
waiting for next step............

This is my take on the Dec/Jan thing:-

The visa allocation probably applies for a calendar year, so they will be able to actually hand out visas in January. However the process of sending in your passport and getting it back takes at the very minimum 2 weeks. So there is a point in December at which they can confidently send out PPRs in the full knowledge that they won't actually be handing the passport back with a visa until the new year (when the new visa quota kicks in).

The fastest way of getting your visa is to drop off your passport in person at the London office on a Thursday to pick it up exactly 2 weeks later. So with this in mind I predict they'll start sending out PPRs from Friday December the 10th, assuming that Thursday the 30th is not a working day at CIC London.

....er, does that make sense?

Humanist,

Congratulations on getting ppr!! :) You had very accurately predicted the date!! I hope London office continues processing the cases faster now. It had been complete freeze for almost 4 months. Hope the New Year brings cheers to all of us!!

Humanist, you were 100% right with your prediction mate.......Friday 10th Dec and that's when you got ur PPR. Hmmmmm, CHC must have read your post and would have decided that you are the closest one to their target so you must be the first one to get PPR as well....... Congrats again.

Congratulation....

Pray for all of us

Regards

Hello,
I had sent my updated forms and had my medical on 27th november. Forms reached London office on 6th December.

I received an email from CHC London yesterday. The VO said he confirms receipt of my updated application forms and has cashed RPRF.

He further said that he needs updated police clearance to continue working on my file.

A lot of people were asked to submit police clearance with medicals request. I was not asked for that.

I think it would be a good idea that every one send updated clearance even if it's not been asked for.
(Only for the area living after sending full documents AND only if more than six months have passed after sending full documents.)

Gave me 30 days to send updated clearance.

that's all.

See Yaa.

Khalid, i would say it is a good news which means that they are on ur case. You will get ur PPR soon insha'Allah. As far as PCCs are concerned, they normally ask for updated ones after one year and not six months, as you submitted them over a year ago that's why they have asked you to send the updated one.

Thanks for correcting, i thought PCC was valid for 6 months.

I hope PPR comes soon after this step.

Best of Luck to everyone in waiting.

Hi all;
