Hi All
I got a reply from London CHC as following:

We appreciate that you wish to arrive in Canada as soon as possible, however at this moment we do not anticipate requesting your passport for visa issuance before December 2010/January 2011.

Yours sincerely,
I dont know what the heck is all this?it means even every thing is ok still we have to wait for 4 to 5 months.
Best of luck to all

This clearly means that the quota for 2010 visas is over. Currenlty they might be busy in processing application in backlog.

Hi friends please guide me...= replied to ur question in the other thread: 'RECEIVED BY VISA OFFICE''

i am going to take DD for RPRF. I have to take DD of CAD 980/- (490*2) for me and my wife. The DD should be favoring "The Receiver General Canada" in Canadian Dollars payable at Canada. I have to send the DD to my Visa office which is London. My only doubt is whether the DD should be payable in Canada or not. The doubt is am sending the DD to my Visa Office at London, UK and the DD is payable at Canada, thats why. May be they will send the DD to Canada for encashing...

Hello,
My visa office is London because I am living here. I applied in September 2007 and was asked to sent my documents in February 2010 to an Ottawa Case Pilot who were helping out with the backlog. I was then asked to do my medicals and send them to London, which I did over a month ago, in July 2010.
Do you really think that they arenot going to request our passports until December/January due to quota reached to land in Canada in 2010?
Anyone has recently got their passport request?
Hope you can help as I prefer not to bother the embassy so that they can get on with their jobs. Many thanks.

I am a 2007 applicant and recently I recvd a mail from CHC that they do not anticipate requesting my passport for visa issuance until Dec 2010/Jan 2011.

I guess that if the 4 of you have received the same response that probably really means that the quota is done for this year and they want to make sure that noone lands before Jan 2011. I am ok with it as long as it really happend in January. I got a letter from Ottawa saying that our case should be finalised by 8 March 2011, so it all makes sense now.
Any more people in similar situation?

Dear Sudhakar_pt,
Can you share the information on your passport request email. How long did they give you to send the passports. I have some holidays booked, and I want to know if they give you some time to send the passports or if I have to cancel the holidays once i receive my passport request.
Thank you
