I think its very alright to write to your visa office. You are the main applicant and all that you ask for is information. If I was you, I wouldn't hesitate to contact my visa office. Since your medicals are expiring on 29th of June, you really can and should urgently request a status update.
My friendly advice would be that you write them using the webform or by emailing to: re-london-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca . Mention that it has been a while since you did the medicals and sent the updated PCCs. Since your medicals are expiring soon, you need to know when to expect a PPR so you can make your plans.
I really hope that they will respond to your e-mail.
