To all Senior members of the Forum, me and my wife did our medicals on August 14 and today, I saw that a second line in my "Application Received" status changed to Medicals received. My question is, from all the other threads I see, I saw that at this stage, it should be "In Progress" but mine still says Application Received.

Does this mean there is a problem with my Medicals and they are still not progressing it?

When did your file reached cic if it reached in july then you have long wait to get in progress because in august feb people are getting in progress which means in september march will get in progress october month april will get and so on

I filed my pnp application in April 2014 and got my AOR and meds request in July 2014. My application on ecas says, Application Received and when I click it, it says we received your application on such and such date and on the next line, says Medicals Received.

Does this mean my medicals are done and there was no problem with them?

Hi Surya,

First of all don't worry. And yes, "Medicals Received" means everything was fine with yours and your wife's medical exam. Now it's time to process your application further. Good luck.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi Sarayu,

Whats the difference between "medical received" and "medical results have been received" in ECAS?

Thanks

It will not show "in progress" until five or six months later...

Hi starla,

Both are exactly same...just to write short...it's "Medicals Received".

HI,

I had applied under AINP and my application was accepted and sent to New Delhi Visa Office. Then it was transferred to Sri lanka Colombo office for faster Processing . Our medicals have been done 3 months back and we are still waiting for further instructions after this.

Need some guidance as how much time it takes after medicals are done for visa request. whether they will transfer our file to new Delhi office again.

would appreciate if some one could clarify and

We never saw a "Medicals Received" status on our ECAS status at any point in our application process.

Even after our medicals in mid-October last year, our status stayed at "Application Received" until early July of this year when it finally changed to "In Progress" Our PR letters were issued about five weeks after that.

It seems the ECAS status transitions move different for different applications, but generally the total processing time is somewhat the same (with unfortunately frustrating exceptions for some).
