Medicals Not Received!!!!!!! Frustrated!!!!!!!!

Ok here is my delima I am going through Buffalo to get my Permanent Residence. I got a letter about a month or so back that said that they needed me to sign this paper that I didn't and send again a copy of my marriage liscense. So I did all this they asked, and that same letter said that my medicals had been received and no interview was necessary for me and my case was in it's final stages. And i'm being patient and waiting, but I am staying on top of my case. So i'm waiting and then I decide to email them to see if I can get a update status on my case. I get a reply back saying we are still waiting on your medicals we have not received them yet from Ottawa and I need to check with my physician to see if they were sent.

Now i'm confused at this point, because the last letter I got from them said they had received my medicals. So I contact my physician and they say they sent it and they gave me the tracking number so I check it and it says it was received and signed for. My AOR date is November 5th 2008. My medicals were sent Aug. 27th and received and signed for in Ottawa Aug 29th. I let Buffalo know all this info and they say they are going to send it to their processing team and have them look into this.

I have also made multiple calls to Ottawa, but always get an answering maching saying this lady is gonna be back in her office on Monday February 23rd and I called her like everyday got the same answering machine message. I am going to stay on top of this, does anybody have a similar story or have any advice?

It seems that once my medicals are received that this is the last thing they need? Can anyone give me some insight?

I know some times depends on the volume of work on Ottawa it can takes up to 4 months to send the medicals to Buffalo.

Well it was August 29th since they received my medicals in Ottawa. Now it's March so that's 7 months now since my medicals were received way more than 4 months. Buffalo is looking into this and I sent a fax to Ottawa so hopefully something breaks. I think this maybe the only thing holding things up right now so i'm getting anxious.

I will be glad when this process is over and I get my permanent residence because this has been the hardest thing i've done in my life with all the waiting and all that. And not having control or being able to really talk to anybody about what's going on.

well since they mentioned in thier letter to u that no interview is needed for ur case then u need be happy because ur file is free of any complications that might call for an interview so in my opinion you will get ur pr as soon as they get ur medicals , good luck

The Regional Medical Centre in Ottawa doesn't send the medicals to Buffalo until Buffalo requests them. And, I know from experience, Buffalo doesn't always remember to request them.

I'd suggest that you send a fax to the Ottawa RMC (613-954-8653) and ask whether or not the results have been requested yet. From my experience they're really prompt about responding by return fax, and they'll send the results as a result of your inquiry. Unfortunately, Buffalo will never confirm for you that they've got them, so don't expect that.

Yeah I actually did that, I faxed them a inquiry last week to this fax number so hopefully I hear something back from them atleast letting me know they sent it to Buffalo. At this point I know that Buffalo & Ottawa are on alert. i'll cross my fingers, there is also a number in Ottawa i'm gonna just keep calling until that lady whoever that is maybe picks up to alteast let me know they did get my fax or that they sent my medicals to Buffalo.

Ok I received a email from Ottawa that Buffalo received my medicals and that it is complete.

Now I let Buffalo know of this, they sent me a email back stating:

Date: Friday, March 27, 2009, 1:22 PM

This is in response to your recent status inquiry regarding your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Please be advised that we received your medical results and they are valid until August 14, 2009. Your file is now with the immigration officer for final review. You will be receiving futher instruction in the near future.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Ok, so from this response I got from them and my applications starting processing November 5th, 2008. How long do you all think it will be now? Any comments would be helpful, as I am really really hoping it's gonna be any day now.
