I'm not entirely sure on how the Medical process works with the immigration but my question is My wife and I will be in canada (Me being a canadian citizen) in september and she is planning on doing her medicals then. She has a daughter from another marriage that will require medicals as well (non-accompanying family member) and will need her medicals done here in the US. Is this allowed where we get my wife's medical done somewhere else and her daughter's at another on two different dates? Or do they both need to be done at the same time?

Hello!

Does anybody know the cost of medicals in Canada (approx.)?
Is it covered by medical insurances?

Thanks!! ;)

I called one in calgary for $204 cash.

That sounds ok. I was expecting something like $500.
Hope I'll find a similar price in Ontario. :)

Does the $205 include the xray and the lab?

My husband went to Dr Grunberg in Calgary and we paid $150 for the dr visit. We paid the lab and xray seperately.

I'm not sure if it includes the xrab and lab....i asked the lady how much the medicals were and she said $204

That's a good price.

Xrays and labs are usually at separate locations from the dr's office around here. We called different locations for their prices.

You can. I did mine in Toronto for about $220. I don't remember the cost of the xray which was in a different location.

It seems from what people have said here that you can get medicals done in Canada for considerably less than in the U.S., so do them in Canada if that's convenient.
