Dear Friends,

First of all, i would like to thank all the learned forum members for their contributions to the forum, and also a big thanks to the hosts of the forum.
I have a query regarding sponsorship of my wife, we are both Indian nationals, currently i am in western Europe and she is in Sweden on a work assignment. I am planning to go to Canada in August 2012 to start working from September 2012. My wife will have to stay in Sweden until mid October 2012 then she will return to India. I am planning to submit the sponsorship application of my wife in mid August 2012, now i have the following questions to my sponsorship application.

I have realized that i have to send an application from my side to Canada, and my wife has to send her part of application with medicals to the embassy in New Delhi.
Can i send my application first, and once it gets approved or during the initial approval phase , stage 1 ( 90 days or whatever time it takes) my wife sends her application with the medicals?
or do we need to send both the applications at the same time?
The issue is that, since she is in Sweden, she can not get the medicals done before she goes back to India, i have also no idea if she can get the medicals done in Sweden and send them to the embassy in New Delhi??

All inputs will be highly appreciated

Good luck!

Both parts of the application must be submitted together (as one package) to the Mississauga office. Once the Mississauga office has completed their review, they will forward the file to ND. Don't submit the two parts of the application separately. If you do, they will be returned to you unprocessed and flagged as incomplete.

Yes - your wife can do the medical in Sweden. She can do it anywhere in the world as long as she uses a DMP.

As a tip - if she lives in the South of Sweden, she can also check for Copenhagen DMP (see the list on CIC website http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx and select the country) - that's where I had my exams done, and there was no long waiting time, easy process etc. Just make sure you tell the DMP which VO to send the results to ( but he will ask and recheck with your wife, probably), and you should be fine.

Good luck!
