Medicals done and no response... its been 2.5 yrs from file received

Hey guys!
We got an email to re-do medical and police report middle of January and we were told to wait up to 4 months for a response. We had sent it off on January 23rd n it was received the next day.. from then its been a couple days over 4 months and we have no response. I had contacted my MP and they got a response saying to wait 1-2 more months and its been two months.. plusss our ecas status never changes so we don't know whats going on in our file. Our timeline is very long its been 2.5 yrs since i sponsored my husband n we have two kids a 2yr old and a 2 month old it's been very hard being away from him.. I was just wondering if anyone has been in this position which had done their medicals n how long it took. I wouldn't know why they would ask for a re-do of medicals n police report if our file wasn't about done..Do I email them... call them .. wait? i'm totally lost and in need of answers!

Send them a case specific enquiry through the link at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/london.asp reminding them that they had advised you to wait up to four months and enquiring about updated timing (or if any correspondence has been sent and lost)

The timing varies depending on when security and background checks are completed - which varies a lot depending on the cooperation and response time of countries CSIS reaches out to. Hang in there.

Well security check took from Oct/2010 until we got medical request which was Jan/2012 then I called my MP about two months after my husband sent off the documents n they said that its in background check ... I was really shocked why it was in background check, is it normal though? :S

Yes, all applicants go through security and background checks. Perfectly normal.
