Hello, i have high blood and my serum creatine too is high. Now i did 24hrs urine and i had 400 protein found. Will i be inadmissible. what can i do before my medicals

when do you plan to have your medical exam done? let's try modification of diet/lifestyle.. to decrease your BP, try to avoid fatty foods, exercise and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables esp those rich in fiber.. also, try to avoid too much stress --physically and emotionally. hmm.. do u have history of kidney problems? try avoiding too much salt (also to decrease BP). If you like eating junk foods or eating at fast food chains, this is the time to avoid them.. others to avoid: softdrinks and processed foods... aside from fruits and veggies, increase your fluid intake (water)

well, i have a medical question myself.. my hubby had history of kidney stones and was hospitalized for that. that was 5-7 yrs ago, no surgical procedure/operation done. do we have to tell that to the medical examiner considering he very fit and healthy now? thanks

If time and money permits - please try to get a specialist to check you and provide a report. Preparation helps when you go to the immigration medicals. Based on what i have checked over the internet - this could indicate either kidney or cardiac issues.

Dear Friend

definitely - they are wonferfully helpful!!

however i tried searching the forum myself for the same problem highlighted on this topic but couldnt find much - maybe i am missing something?

In the blood test they do, are they interested in RBC and WBC or they are only interested in checking for certain diseases?
Thanks for your comments ;D

hi imbubbles - re: zecdojojo's query at the beginning of this post - have you posted anything on that topic?
curious because we are in a similar situation and i tried the search function and cannot find something very specific except one by qorax on the fact that he passed his own medicals...

maybe i m missing something!

Hi SD! well, i am not yet done with my medicals but i talked to my agent and she said the same thing as what most people and qorax had said. That the only thing that will make you inadmissible is if your disease is contagious (making people in canada at risk) or if you will become a burden to your family and canada.. in a way that you require too much medical attention and demand (eg. paralysis or bedriden or the like... making you unfit for most jobs).

with regards to having high/ abnormal lab tests, i suggest you modify your diet and lifestyle for few weeks if you don't intend to have your medical soon and then have your laboratory tests done again. There might be factors that affected your pevious lab tests. But if after few weeks and conservative method (modification of diet and lifestyule) didn't work for you, then have your lab tests interpreted by a doctor and maybe he/she will prescribe something that will correct whatever medical condition you have. I also have doubts about my health so if time and money permits, i'll do that and i advice you to do the same... but i'd take my agent and the seniors words of me passing my medical exam unless i have a contagious disease or i require too much medical attention/demand once i land in canada..
